Great location but this "hotel" is a dump. You will find: ants, mold, filth and water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom, cigarette buts on the filthy floors, dirty and stained sheets, non-absorbent towels, no hangers in the closet, window air conditioners with missing panels so that insects can come and go at will and no maid service unless requested.
OK, it is cheap and we booked at the last minute but we would have been better off sleeping in the car. The disco ball in the lounge is a throw back to days best forgotten.
I read reviews on other sites that must be fake, there is no way anyone would recommend this place.
I cannot even believe we had the EXACT same experiance. I read her review and thought it was a double of me.... We even had Room #309!!! Most Disgusting place I've EVER seen! Puke on the walls, crap on the bathroom wall, cig butts on the floor, mold and mildew on 'every" opening possible, openings around the a/c which was full of mold... It made a broke down CRACK house look like luxury. I even took video and pics, which the FDOH is going to have fun looking at. We were "Also" refused our money back as well!! Paid Frigin $100 to NOT sleep (because I couldn't lay on nasty things they call beds) and look at Traney Prostitutes.....Oh yeah, it's not just a GAY hangout, They're Prostitutes!! So our $100 that you wouldn't refund is nothing to your $$$$ you're going to lose when the FDOH condemns the rat hole, disease infested place you call a HOTEL, look at the statutes that cannot even be considered a MOTEL, let along a HOTEL! So when you sent your Clerk Up to take care of your dirty work because you didn't think we would say anything to her (or him, who really knows) and laughed about not giving us our money back, look in the mirror CLOSELY!!! Who's laughing now? Not US! Pics and Video already sent to FDOH (FL Dept. Of Health, just in case you didn't know what FDOH stood for) and for our $100, oh yeah, we will get it back, eventually! Watch....

And, EXACTLY what "assumptions" did I make?
FYI..I travel alot and am very familiar with Daytona. I know the area hotel rates and I know when they go way up. $100 a night was CHEAP for that area and time period. Everything else was surely in the $200-$300 range per night.

Please people, we must get this terrible place out of Daytona Beach. This is a big embarrassment for the gay community and Daytona Beach as a whole.
A) I was here for my son's college graduation and boy was I surprised....Penthouse Bar has "top shelf liquor" which includes Popov that is watered down. Prostitution, drugs, and dirty trolls are rampant in this "classy establishment." The view is breath taking if you dont look inside this newly renovated dump. The regular guests include Daytona's finest ... crackheads, hookers, pre & post-op transexuals. I would rather sleep on the beach across the street than stay here
B) My fiance and I planned a last minute trip on a budget to Daytona Beach and arrived at the Streamline Hotel as it was the first place we saw when we arrived to the Beach. It definatley looked fairly seedy from the outside, but for the price, we decided to tolerate it because we only needed a place to lay our heads down. They had us take a look at the room before checking in because obviously people have turned around once they have arrived. We came back to sleep after dinner and being on the beach all day only to wake up to bed bugs crawling all over us. We called the front desk and were told that we could move rooms. We were shuffled to four seperate rooms until 7 in the morning. The hotel refused to give our money back so we could stay somewhere else. So once we moved into the fifth room, it seemed clean but there was two lines laid out of white powder on a nightstand. The staff continued to apologize but still could not do anything. When we found a bug in our ice cooler (the hotel does not provide ice or bin for you either) and we saw two bugs scurry across the wall and were fed up. The staff finally agreed to refund our money but I am apalled that they are even allowed to operate with a hotel license. It is *very* partial to the gay crowd which didn't bother us any, but we had no idea. Will never ever go back to this place again!
While the lady who checked me in was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in the rest of my stay was anything but pleasant. I went up to my room and was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room for the price. It had a living room, bedroom, and bath with a huge walkin closet for $51.00 a night. Having traveled the entire day I was dirty and wanting to go out so I showered changed clothes and decided to go down to the hotel bar. I ordered a bottled water and the bartender said ok, walked away took new orders filled them and then came back to ask what I needed said he forgot that I had ordered. Well I got my water drank it and decided to go to another club. When I came back to the hotel I decided to watch some tv and while there were 2 tvs there were no remotes to either one. So I then went to bed. Well after feeling like I was being eaten alive I got up and saw that there were bugs crawling in the bed. So I went downstairs and was told that I could not be moved because there were no other rooms open. I asked if they had any bug spray or anything and they said I should go up to the 7-11 and purchase some. I did it was at this point that I was told that the place is one of the oldest hotels in the city. So I go back to my room spray the bed down and try to go to sleep. However, I noted that the ceiling in my room had some cracks and after being in bed for a few minutes I hear a loud thud it seems that a large piece of the ceiling fell on to the other bed that had I been sleeping in it would have fallen on my head. So at this point I had enough so I got dressed packed my things and weent downstairs with the broken ceiling piece in tow. I was informed by the desk clerk that he could not do anything and he was sorry. I received my key deposit and left the hotel. I will not be going back.

I just love these kinds of posts.
People always want "cheap" and then when they get exactly what they paid for, they are pissed off!
You never stated what the dates of your stay were, but considering the date of your post, I would say it was over the New Year's Eve weekend, right?
You were obviously, too cheap, or too broke to stay at a quality hotel, so you opted for the cheapest one you could find, right?
The joke is on you.
Don't be so cheap!
PS..Learn some proper spelling and grammar, and maybe some sentence structure and paragraphs,so you don't further prove that you are an idiot.

Wat a rude nasty Staff.
Never will I go to this place again.
Its full of gross stuff, sex in public, nasty walls, very rude staff.
I couldn't get my money back even tho there were roaches all over.
