STS Stucco and Stone Superior Stucco and Stone Erich Gregg Erich Gregg Took my Materials Parker Colorado

I contracted with Erich Gregg, aka Superior Stucco and Stone, aka STS Stucco and Stone to stucco my new home in 3 weeks.  The agreement was that I would buy the materials and I did.  When the stucco buckets arrived I put them in the garage to avoid freezing.  He thanked me for that. 

For the next 2 weeks he continually promised he would start my job and finish it within the 3 week promised date. Obviously after that time it was impossible and I did not have confidence that he would ever show and the weather was getting cold in  November.  I terminated the contract since he could not live up to his end of the agreement.  He tried subcontracting the job to some other fly by night guys which I would not accept. 

I hired someone else and when we looked in the garage we noticed some materials were missing.  I had given Erich the combination to my door which he admitted he entered the property a week before.  No other contractors were there and only a stucco contractor would take 5 bags of base and 5 buckets of stucco.. I beleived he was short on another job and my place was closer than the supply house. 

I contacted him and told him he needed to compensate me for the $420 of products he took. He said he was out of town and would have his guy drop off a check.  This went on for days and no check.  He then was back in town and said he would, and never did.  And then he was going to mail it to me. Never did.  Basically he is now a thief since he took the materials and never paid for them.  He stole them from inside my house.  I have texts that prove the events and pictures of what was delivered and after what he took what was remaining.  Plus he never denied it until the police showed up to to confront him. They did not seem interested in pursuing this even with the evidence and suggested I take him to court. He denied the buckets were in the garage even though I texted him a pic the day they arrived. He said someone else took them.  That is crazy as someone else would have taken my tools if they wanted something of value, not some stucco. And the texts I have saved dispute his story.

Erich is a liar and has no respect for anyone nor their time.  Do not hire this guy. I then found a complaint on this site where he ripped someone else off. I believe that is why he changed his company name from STS to Superior Stucco and Stone, which is a reputable company about 30 miles south in Colorado Springs. I contacted them and they are aware he is doing this so they are changing their name so their reputation is not harmed.  Tells you about the character of this guy.
