STS Tire and Auto Center Somerset Tire Good Crew Manipulated & Threatened Hicksville, New York

The former worker from East Meadow was right on about his experience with STS.  I used to work there, too and it makes me feel so angry when I listen to what goes on there.  The crew who works at the Hicksville store are good, hard-working people, but their boss is a mean SOB.  He has stolen their tips (please tip the actual person who worked on your car - do not give it to the counter man) and continues to do so.  Everyone is afraid to speak up because if you do,  you most likely will face a transfer or consent to having your pay reduced.   If you try to contact the manager's boss to complain, it is useless, as they are good friends.  There have not been any raises or cost-of-living increases,  since this company took over the former WTC (Wholesale Tire Co.) atleast,  not for the crew - so mostly everyone is just scraping by.  We are talking about atleast a 10yr. period of time here.  I don't know if this is even legal,  but STS gets away with it!

The manager  stands with his hands on his hips all the time and looms over the guys as they try to work on a customer's car.  He doesn't help out at all, even when it's slow.  He has hired guys with next-to-nothing experience and entrusts them to work on customers' cars,  and pushes you to sell things to customers that they don't really need .

When I think of how much in tips have been taken by him, it makes my blood boil!  A former customer asked me once if I got her tip a few days after I worked on her car - I said "no, I didn't" and she said - "Oh, well , I gave it to your manager upfront."  That's how I know he takes the tips!  I wish someone could help these guys.  They don't deserve that kind of treatment!
