On 8/19/07, we took our son to Studio One for his first pictures. We were so excited. We had no idea that we would be horrified with the experience.

To make this long story short, the problems that we experience were: evasive pricing, poor pictures, i.e. our son's head was cut off in the pictures, we didn't receive what we ordered (ordered bronze pictures, but received black and white photos), the pictures had white borders, and the size of the pictures did not fit into the frames. We paid $539.75 for the pictures that were ordered.

I did complain to the Wellington store along with their corporate office. All I wanted was a portion of my money back for the horrible service that we received. When I spoke to Marie, the Marketing Manager, she offered that she send me a CD of the pictures. Why would I want a CD of pictures that were horrible.

I was also contacted by Jim Nichols via email. He emailed me to provide no assistance. Here is a line from an email he sent me "As I stated, no other company does this and we don't just give people refunds when they later decide they don't like the prints, and don't want to return them. If you were that unhappy with your experience and our product you should have simply gone somewhere else, and you can still get a refund and do exactly that."

So please beware and do NOT go to a Studio One to One Photography.

Trust me! I'm in the same situation! Bring screwed with this do called membership!  There's so many studios out there! AVOID studio one to one and don't fall for the hold my memories club!  First,  you can't use the credit to purchase a CD & the credit can only be applied to a full price item! According to the "owner", the policy has changed! I was never notified of these changes!

I am very sorry to hear about your experience.  I would like you to know that the location has been under new management for the past year and there have been new wonderful changes.  First of all, we do not charge a session fee, so it doesn't cost you anything to get your portraits taken.  We take a large variety of pictures.  We offer background changes, outfit changes, different lighting effects, and all sorts of other things to create one of a kind portraits.  If for some reason you are not happy with the portraits you have no obligation to purchase anything from your session.  I'm sorry to hear that your prints did not come out the way that you wanted them too.  When you were last into the studio all of our photography was sent out to a lab in a different state.  We now do all of our own printing right here in the studio, so it is much easier to fix mistakes if they may happen.  Your satisfaction is guaranteed.  Before you leave with your prints we check everything over and make sure it is exactly as you wanted.  If anything is not to your complete satisfaction we can reprint them for in a very timely manner.  I am one of the photographers here at Studio One to One in the Wellington Green Mall.  I try to make ever experience here a wonderful unforgettable one.  If you would please try to give us another chance I will make sure we take good care of you.  Thank you for your business.

I am an employee of this company in the Houston/Dallas area. All the morals in this company are crooked. They try to suck the money out of their customers. The sales people are extremely pushy, and are trained to play mind tricks on customers to try to get them to spend more. They have LOADS of customer service issues that they usually put off. They tell their customers that everything is 100% satisfaction guarantee, but they charge an UNGODLY amount for any kind of retouching that could be done on these images, when truly, anyone could do it on Photoshop. The district manager in this company is completely inconsiderate and rude and treats employees and managers poorly--and then she wonders why they can't keep a manager in a store for more than 3 months. I don't know how they expect to give their customers 100% satisfaction guarantee, when in fact, they don't treat their employees that way. They don't pay their employees what they should be getting paid for dealing with the kind of stress and yelling at by customers. They get paid 5 an hour--and they work on commission, which explains why everyone is so pushy to get customers to spend more money.

I am sorry if you feel you did not receive value at our company. At Studio One to One, ALL our prints come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. In short, if you purchase prints, go to pick them up, and don't see value in what you purchased, you can get your money back. We are the only studio I know of with such a liberal policy.

You mentioned that we would not give you a CD of your images. We do sell a "full resolution" cd of images, with a copyright release. With digital technololgy and file sharing where it is today, CDs are a large part of our business. I am sorry if that was not offered to you at the time of your session.

Finally, you mentioned us being more expensive than Glamour Shots. I am very familiar with that company, and can assure you that our prices are significantly less expensive than theirs. I would encourage you to call both studios to inquire about pricing--and each studio's satisfaction policy.

STUDIO ONE PHOTOGRAPHY IS A REAL RIP OFF

I had Christmas photos of my parrots done at the Willowbrook Mall location in Houston, TX.
The pricing was very evasive, I did not like the backgrounds and thay wanted to add all kinds of extra charges for proofs and would not give me my CD.
The pictures came out good, but I still feel the place was a rip off price wise and they don't have enough props. I will never have pictures done there again. Their prices are worse than Glamour Shots.
