Customers and employees of this company beware. Jim Tucker of STV is an X-CON who served time in prison for killing a man. His services are over priced, rarely installed correctly and he never honors call backs once he receives payment. Tucker provides Audio Video services to his customers by finding workers off craigslist and selling them as highly qualified technicians.
I recently learned that he has been taking advantage of his employee and violating their rights. He is currently being sued for a series of wage violations. Some of these violations include missed rest breaks and meal periods, overtime violations, minimum wage requirements and misclassifications of employees as independent contractors. Apparently because of his poor record keeping it is hard to find all the employees that had their rights violated.
In one case Tucker refused to pay an employee after nearly a month of work. When the employee demanded his money Tucker filed a restraining order against the employee. Needless to say Tucker lost at the hearing. Tucker was so upset he lost the hearing he threatened the employee in open court. The Judge ordered the court bailiff to restrain him while the employee left the courtroom.
If you ever worked for Tuckers company you likely had your rights trampled and are due compensation. If you know anyone who worked for Tucker in the past you should tell them to call the attorney handling the case.
Any customers who are trying to receive refunds or money back for poor work should try small claims court. The courts are very aware of Tuckers schemes.

I thought the truth should be aired here. James Simpson also worked as an independent contractor. He scammed the company out of thousands of dollars. He cashed business checks by creating other bank accounts with similar names.
Here are some of his legal court documents we found in the Riverside County Court website.

I used the head installer from this company. His name is Mike Braddy. Not only is he a professional burglar he’s also a drug addict. Several customers of Tucker complained of property missing from their home. But not until I had my tools stolen did i realize what kind of cretan Braddy really was.
Turns out the head installer for this company was a major methamphetimine distributor until he turned states witness and served a year in prison for delivery of controlled substance in the amount of a half pound of meth to a undercover cop. Because of his cooperation he had other charges dismissed.
Tucker knew Braddy from his party binges and hired him right away. Tucker would target unsuspected customers and send Braddy to do the dirty work of stealing anything in the house of value. Of course this led to disputes about who should get the majority of proceeds.....Of course Tucker felt the spoils were all his. Braddy took all the chance and expected the bigger cut. Beware! This company is not about entertainment installs. Its about gaining access to your home to steal your valuables during the installation or later when the coast is clear.
This company targets the gay yellow pages.
