I hired Suncoast Appliances to install a gas cooktop I purchased new from JC Penney, based on a referral to them from JC Penney. Two technicians showed up and they took out my old cooktop and installed the new one which had been delivered directly to me from JC Penney. When they first tried the burners after installation they came on fine. However, the first problem was that my oven would not fit back underneath because the regulator on the new cooktop extended straight down and the technician told me that could not be changed and I would have to buy a new oven! Then they charged me the full price for delivery and installation of a cooktop and oven, however, they left my oven in the middle of the kitchen floor because it would not fit back. After they left, I tried to light my burners, and no gas was coming in and they did not come on. I called Suncoast and the installers came back. They told me something was wrong with the valve on the gas line coming into the house and I had to call the gas company. This was on a Saturday, so on the following Monday I called TECO and they referred me to a gas technician who could not come out until Thursday. Upon inspection, this technician told me the regulator on the cooktop was installed BACKWARDS; he showed me where it was clearly marked with an arrow which direction it was supposed to go. Also, he easily changed the configuration of the regulator with an angle adapter so I could put my oven back. So in addition to paying $150 to the "installers" from Suncoast Appliances, I paid another $85 to the gas technician to correct their mistakes! This company in incompetent.
