ALL customers shopping @ Super 1/Brookshires WATCH your register tapes very closely!  They've been caught several times over-charging customers 4 purchases.   They KNOW they are doing it, but un-suspecting & trusting customers ARE being "ripped off" by these grocery stores.  They go by 2 names: Brookshires & Super 1 - both owned by same company.

Displays of items will have one price posted, but check out & you're charged FULL price.  When calling their hand on it, "We're sorry, bring your receipt back in & we'll refund the price difference".  YET, they keep doing it.

April 16, 2013, example:  Malt-O-Meal Bag Cereal posted @ $1.88 per bag.  Rung out @ register at $2.69 for 1 flavor & $2.93 each for 2 others.   Checked register tape when got home to discover the over-charges.  Called them, response as stated --- & I'll get manager to pull it up on computer.  VERY UNCONCERNED -- they KNEW!   April 17, 2013, returned to store for refund & informed them we would NEVER shop there again!!!

Another Example of Over-charging customers:  On more than 1 occasion have found box trays of meat packages being sold for $19.99.  When adding up the existing meat pkg prices, they were LESS than the $19.99 if pkgs had been purchased separately.  Un-suspecting customers being ripped off by *assuming* they could trust the packages to at least equal the $19.99.

When called to manager's attention, he will grab pkgs & run to back of store with them saying, "it's a mistake & will be corrected".   Yeah, right.  Yet, they continue this practice & react in this manner when caught doing it.

If you shop at either of these stores, CHECK your register receipts & make SURE you are not being over-charged & pay more of your hard-earned money than you should rightfully be paying them for the foods you purchase there.   NOTE -- they WILL over-charge you & KNOW they are doing it until you call their hand on it & DEMAND a refund of your money they STOLE from you.

Best Bet -- do NOT patronize or shop @ either of these stores.  There ARE other places to buy the same food items at who will not over-charge you for them.   My family will NEVER buy another penny's worth of anything from these RIPP-OFFS~!!!

you are entitled to your opinion. But here is mine. If you fell like this about these stores and don't about others you'd better open your eyes. ALL stores are ripping us off in some way or another. They continue these practices because we allow them to do so.
