We contracted John also known as 'Shawn' with Superior General Contracting to pour a concrete slab for a patio.  We gave him a deposit of $900.00  Work was to commence "on or by 7-20-2016".  I contacted John on Tuesday July 19th to make sure we were still on schedule for the work to begin on the 20th.  He stated that they would be out on Thursday the 21st at 11:00 to begin work.  I took 2 days off of work so I would be there.  No call, no show.  I called the office number listed on our contract - a message came on 'you have reached a voice mail box that has not been set up'.  I called the cell numbers (2) that I had for John and Shawn - same thing.  So I began texting the numbers I had.  I received a text back that due to the heat they cancelled all jobs and rescheduled my job for Monday.  I was furious - I get 5 vacation days a year and I just wasted 2 of them!

To make a long story short, this work has been rescheduled numerous times.  We have even been told "our guys are just finishing up at another location, we're waiting on the inspection & then we'll be right over"... still no show.  We have been lied to too many times to count - they never show up as promised.  I began asking for a refund of our deposit on August 1st.  So now we've been trying over and over to get a refund on our deposit of $900.00.  Same story over and over - 'I'll drop it off to you tonight... I'll have a check for you tomorrow before 4:00..."  Still no show, no check.  It's funny that he had no problem making the time to come and pick up the deposit, but can't figure out how to give us back our money.
