Supply Connection, TP Supply "sold" me supplies and will "bill me later" Gulfport Mississippi

I am so glad that I found this site - A woman named "Brandy Myer" called me today (direct to my extension) and indicated she had spoken with my Controller "about a week ago" and that he had told her I was the one that ordered supplies and to contact me. When I hesitated, she asked if he'd told me about her and (coincidentally!) he'd been out of the office last week and just returned today, which I told her. "Probably hasn't had a chance to tell you then" she said.

She gave me what I now know is the same pitch they've given so many others here - $0.99 for a dozen post-it pads, etc. etc. and that my Controller had indicated I don't have much storage space (also, coincidentally, true) so she'd break some grosses down for me to save space, bla bla bla.

She also promised me the Rolodex brand PDA, promised to put it in an envelope with my name on it so I'd get it.... I can't BELEIVE they use the EXACT same scam over and over!!

Anyway, I felt a bit uncomfortable about the whole call and when my Controller left the meeting he was in I asked him if he recalled speaking with her. He didn't. Then I found this site. So I've called the number everyone seems to have for them and also get an answering machine.... but at least since I found out about them before the shipment takes place, I plan to refuse reciept of the shipment IF and WHEN it arrives via UPS - and I indicated as much in the message I left on their answering machine.

I told them (in the message) that I wanted to do them a favour, since she'd been SOOOO helpful, and make sure nothing gets misplaced, so I plan to refuse the shipment. We'll see if it shows up at all. I'll update should any new information become available!
