You might find it hard to believe but I'm still trying, after being totally ignored by the state officials that were hired to serve me - STILL trying to get my former husband to pay up his court ordered child support for SIX CHILDREN, after being allowed to live and remarry under an alias, in another state (Georgia) all after 30 YEARS. When he left, the youngest was just eight years old. He makes twice the Soc. Sec. that I do, plus he is still working. Yet he claims that he can't pay. One "idiot" at social services once made the comment "What's your problem? Their all grown now. Why don't you leave the guy alone"?. Because he was court ordered to pay, that's why and he's never paid a dime. Never sent a birthday card. Never placed a call to any of the kids while they struggled to grow up without his guidence, love, acceptance, or caring.

Like the rest of you, I fell for the commercial about SupportKids and really believed they could do what Brevard County, FL child support workers were too lazy to do, even after I gave them updated information on him - they continued to ignore me. But then, Florida is infamous in having some of the most inept social workers in the country, and they'll cover for the lazy ones for fear that it might reflect on everyone's actions. Their right! However, I finally met a very dilligent, intellegent young lady and not only does she work for the Ocala, FL, Child Support Enforcement group, she continually begs women, on a weekly basis, to stay away from SupportKids, Inc.

I went to the web page of the Office of the Florida State Attorney General and found two welcomed surprises. First: a downloadable form called CONSUMER CONTACT FORM. Print it out. Second: File a complaint. What ever state you live in - go to your State Attorney General's web page - you will find a similar form. The one from Texas also has great form. The following is a direct "copy/paste" into this report for ALL FLORIDIANS.:

Attorney General Enforces Injunction against Private Child Support Collection Company

~ Company operator sanctioned for refusing to follow court order ~

TALLAHASSEE, FL Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced the imposition of a quarter of million dollar fine against the operator of a private child support collection company for refusing to follow a court-ordered injunction prohibiting his companys business. Stuart C. Cole, operator of Child Support Services of Atlanta, Inc., was fined $250,000 for violating a 2006 injunction obtained by the Attorney Generals Office after the company was accused of taking child support payments and threatening those responsible for providing the funds.

Under no conditions will my office permit unscrupulous individuals to steal money from children, said Attorney General McCollum who added when child support money is withheld in disregard of the states legal process, it hurts the custodial parents, the non-custodial parents, and the children involved.

In May 2006, the Attorney Generals Economic Crimes Division obtained a temporary injunction prohibiting several related child support companies from initiating private child support collection efforts within the State of Florida. The companies Child Support Network, Inc., formerly known as Child Support Enforcement, Inc., and Nationwide Child Support, Inc. were owned and operated by Cole. The injunction prohibited the businesses, as well as Cole, from collecting contingency fees on child support payments. Those fees were obtained by misrepresenting income deduction orders and other legal documents to non-custodial parents and their employers. The injunction became permanent by court order in December 2006.

In June, the Economic Crimes Division discovered that Cole was operating a Pinellas County business named Child Support Services of Atlanta, Inc. Investigators determined that the company was directly violating the terms of the permanent injunction and Economic Crimes attorneys were able to secure the sanctions against Cole, who was ordered to pay the $250,000 fine. Additionally, the circuit court judge froze the businesss banking accounts and ordered that the Attorney Generals Office review records of the business to determine whether the banking funds should be used to refund money to children and their parents.

Download the complaint form and go get them - make sure you fill everything out and when you mail the complaint form back to Tallahassee, (or your own State Capital) get a "signed/return receipt requested" card attached so that you know the State Attorney General's office did get it.

Remember, SupportKids, Inc makes claim to operate in Florida. Not for long though. All of you get busy and begin the battle. Let's put these con artists out of business. If there was a way to get all of us together and get a class action lawsuit going, as well as go to Washington, DC and Congress, we could get all these companies into Federal Court and on to Federal Prisons where they belong. Let's get busy and shout Yahoo. There should be a blog room or chat room somewhere in cyber space. I like this Ripoff Report group. They deserve kudos from all of us just by virtue of being here for us to vent. Thanks yaw'll. By the way, I'm 71 years old and still in there for the fight. Aint life hoot?
