Well I got RIPPED too!!! Noticed my phone bill had a new "service provider" under Miscellaneous Charges and Credits, SurfSafe Internet for $15.70. I have never heard of them and have authorized NO sevices to be provided by them!! And who told BellSouth they could bill me for every tom d**k and harry that comes along saying i owe them??
What does BellSouth get for collecting these bogus charges?? (i see that this has been going on for awhile tho as i see ILD Teleservices (same contact info as safesurf) was billing me $16.52 at least since 11/2004 and i assumed this was like the FCC Authorized Charge for Network Access (??) Is this crap LEGAL? what can we do to stop this for good???
