SWE Homes Rentals close call for a problem house...WARNING>>>money hungry savages Houston Texas

 I recently found the perfect rental house.  On HAR.Com the house had pretty pictures and at first I thought the rent was a little high for the area, but I have family on the same street, so I did not mind.  My Realtor called SWE several times but got no answer. I called and got an immediate answer.  The agent that answered the called asked me if I was a Realtor (as if that mattered). She then told that I could not see the place untill I completed the rental application. I told her that I was concerned about my credit. She stated that they would work with me. I sent over all the documents required. The agent approved me and we arranged a time to come out to tour the property. The place needed to be made ready.  The yard was not cut.  The garage was very dirty and the place smelled like it had been vacant for quit some time. I had my uncle come along, because I am a single mom and I needed him to make sure that no repairs needed to be done. My uncle signaled for me not to place a deposit. The agent kept telling me to leave a deposit. She said that the rentals lease fast. She said that the sooner I pay the deposit the better. She was very nice but way too eager to get my money. She even offered to leave my credit card. I declined and took my uncle's advice. SWE had an option to buy for $109,000 with $8,000 down and $1125 per month for 30 years. However; when we looked it up the property was valued at $39,000 in 2012. I called the agent and told her I was no longer interested. Since then I have done my research and seen that this company has many complaints. I am so thankful that I dodged a bullet there.
