Last year, My husband and I purchased cell phones from T-mobile. He allowed me to upgrade to a digital camera phone, for my birthday. We asked an in store representative if the camera would work after the service ended in a year. The rep said yes, and shortly thereafter, I had my phone. However, we have been experiencing some wierd things in the past year;

1. I had to send for a replacement phone, because of too many dropped calls.

2. My husband had to send for a replacement phone 4 times because of malfunctions.

3. We wouldn't get our voicemail calls sometimes a week or two after someone had called us.

4. We were constantly over our minutes every month because the minutes that we checked on our phone were never accurate.

5. Customer service was nice when we called, however not very knowledgeable to the products they were selling, wasting alot of our time with customer service when we could have been doing other things.

6. An internal investigation currently underway showed that a supervisor may have authorized over 300 minutes at a charge to us of 40 cents a minute because s/he was upset that we were complaining about service, and s/he wanted to "get us back".

7. This company has cost us thousands of dollars for shoddy service and lies for the past year.

8. I hope Catherine Zeta Jones can now afford that little island in the middle of the pacific Ocean now, good luck getting service.

You stated you were ripped off for thousands of dollars, can you please elaborate on how you were specifically ripped off and how you reached that amount? Armed with that information, I may have some useful advice for you.

Excuse me. again, I am validating the claim that this was MY rip off report.

Sorry you have issues, file your own complaint.
(maybe to God for why you are so stupid)
to argue this is frivolous and, atypical of someone trying to protect their best interests. Move along.

it is funny, that since I was the one who originally got RIPPED OFF that I would have an ex-employee who has nothing whatsoever to do with the company give me his fruitless nonsense.
If you are not part of this company, MOVE ON. I don't really want to hear from you.
I am busy looking for a solution, K?

p.s,
if you are a star, and you are going to accept lots of money for advertising, better make sure your product works.
otherwise, you too will be featured on RIPOFFREPORT.COM

#7 UPDATE Employee

Stars don't advertise???

AUTHOR: Pete - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 10, 2006

Let's see:

-CZJ advertises fro T-Mo.
-James Earl Jones advertises for Verizon.
-Tiger Woods advertised for Buick, Nike and a host of others.
-Kirstie Alley advertises for Jenny Craig.
-Emril Lagase advertises for Colgate.
-William Shatner advertises for Priceline
-Anna Nicole Smith advertises for a weight loss pill as does a few WWE female wrestlers
- etc. etc. etc.

Does this mean that I can hold Tiger Woods accountable my Buick breaks down? How about if I use the same golf clubs as he does and my score doesn't improve? Can I blame him for that and recoup my greens fees that I just paid for the round of golf? I'm sure I could try, but I don't think I'd have much luck.

The fact is that just about every sports and music star advertises via sponsorships. Do you realy think that music stars pay for their instuments? Do you realy think Dale Earnhart Jr. put the Budweiser logo on the hood of his race car because he likes the pretty yellow writing? Do you realy think those football players who just won the Super Bowl realy pay for their trip to Disneyworld? No....it's called sponsorships.

Yes, the contract is valid even if you have "shoddy" service. Every state in the country has what is called a "buyer's remourse clause" that allows you to cancel a contract for any reason within a specific period of time...usally 3 days (longer in some states). T-Mo allows you 14 days. That time is meant for you to try the service. If you do not cancel the contract within that time period then you are bound by that contract.

I'd like to know how you got the details on an "internal investigation". Even as an employee, we don't know when internal investigations are being done on us. Do you realy think a supervisor would risk her job over 300 overage mins (basically that comes down to $120)? If you know about it, her boss must know too. Everything we do to an account can be traced back to us. There is no way for someone to jack you for 400 minutes without being

As for the phones malfunctioning, T-Mobile does not manufacture the phones....Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, etc. manufacture the phones. T-Mobile is just the service provider. However, rather than going through the manu. to get your phone fixed, T-Mobile will send a replacement down to you and then have them send your broken handset back to them and T-Mobile will take it up with the manufacturer. As long as the phone is still under warranty and the damage is not caused by the customer, than there is no charge to you other than shipping charges. Of course, you can always go to the Manu if you like and possibly be without a phone at all for however long it takes them to fix your phone and send it back to you.

If you're over your minutes every month, change your rate plan to one with more minutes or cut down on the calling. There are several ways to check minute usage...#646# from your phone will display it on your screen, calling 611 which is a free call or logging onto the website. I've never known them to be off enough to make that much of a difference in my bill (yes, employees pay for their service too). Add a text messaging plan for all those quick, 1-minute calls that you may make ("Honey, do we need anything from the store on my way home?"). You can get 400 of them for $4.99. That beats paying $160 in overage charges (35 cents a min x 400 mins). If you don't have mobile-to-mobile on your account, consider adding it to each line for $6.99. Either way, I'd rather pay $5 or $7 for a feature designed to save my minutes than to pay overages. After all, $7 is the same as going over by 28 minutes and I'd be willing to bet that you're going over by more than that.

Voicemail not being delivered for a week or so....yes, that does happen, although not too often. Usualy that's due to system upgrades and is for a very short time. I've never known anyone who's voicemail was always a week late throughout the entire term of their contract. No matter what carrier you go to, you're going to have issues with something.

BTW, I don't think CZJ needed T-Mobile to afford that small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I'm sure between her salary and Michael Douglas's, they have more than enough to afford it. Besides, if I'm vacationing on a secluded island in the middle of the Pacific, I don't know if I would *WANT* my cell phone to work....kind of defeats the purpose of the island, don't you think?

This is a legitamate complaint. Catharine Zeta Jones is the spokeswoman for this company. Do you not find it strange that most stars do not advertise products for this reason?

yes, T-Mobile has cost me thousands of dollars over the period of time that I have spent in a contract with them, as I had noted above.

and yes, you can check your minutes, however, as we had found out, they are NEVER accurate.

IS a contract bindable when the company whom you are doing business with is providing you with shoddy service?

this is not the first cellphone I have had, but is certainly a poor comparison to cricket, or my favorite, Sprint from which these problems did not occur.

The fact that I have to respond to drivolous nonsense from an Ex employee (that should state it all) or someone who is in "love" with Catharine zeta Jones, for she can "do no evil" is a croc.
I have stated that I have been ripped off.
T-Mobile stinks, and Buyer Beware.

Hey bud about checking your pre-paid minutes, you can always call 611, ask them, its a free call, as any other 611 call from your cell phone. To margie.. How did they cost you thousands? Dropped calls, loss of work, loss of business? Ect...you signed a contract, they are not liable for such, sorry. Internal investigation? and you know about it... someone is whispering sweet nothings into your ears, as most legitimate business, they're not in the habit of throwing their "dirty laundry" or "private operations" out on front street for the world to devour. Signal issues... not in ABQ darling, just not an issue, ABQ has 2 T-mobile call centers, it has more coverage than the rest of the state.

I agree about your phone having issues, more than likely this is/was all a result of your phone(s). The guy at the store is just a common guy trying to make ends-meat, he can't ask the phone if it will work for a year and some how reach into it's past like John Edwards. It does have a 1 year manufacturer's warranty, just like your computer, your walkman, your tv, your microwave, a lot of appliances do. If you bought a car with a 1 year warranty and it messed up, they'd try and try and try to fix it wouldn't they? Would they give you a brand new car? You probably bought a motorola or samsung phone? IN MY EXPERIENCE, those phones are...crap. Yep, crap, they're crap phones, the worst, dropped calls, ect...audio issues, you name it. People still buy them, If you are a car dealership that sells a sports car that kills more people than homicide each year, are you going to quit selling the car? Is it your fault people die because of that car? No. A company won't stop selling "popular" products either.

My advice to you, stick to nokia, very reliable. Or RIMM aka blackberrys. Other companies sell worse phones, kyroceras, LG, audivox (also made sidekick) crap phones, in my experience. A Supervisor "AUTHORIZED" 300 minutes of additional charges at "40 cents per minute". First off, the system runs itself, it is and I mean, PERFECT. Same systems that your banking institutes and other companies...and cell phone companies use! However the only error it makes is human ones, it does what it is told. It reports what is read. Dropped calls, disconnecting..yes I agree all of that can screw up your minutes, thats why it can be reviewed then adjusted off your account.

So no one "Authorized" as you so highly put, additional charges. Speak with someone else, see if they will work with you on your issue. Cry about it, rant, see if they'll cut the price of a new phone off, I used to help customers that way, so buy a new phone or cancel, sorry. The system runs itself, and 40 cents per minute is the standard rate (more with other companies) for plans until you get into the higher up ones and family ones. No one was wanting to "get back at you" so given all of this, aren't you glad I was able to help open your eyes and how happy you will be to know there is hope, and you should be more patient and get your issue resolved. Besides...if someone WANTED to "get back at you"....why mess up your phone bill? Your social, your driver's license number, date of birth, your address or address's, home phone number, work phone number, work address...all on their screen. Aren't you glad they WEREN'T "trying to get back at you" ?

I can agree with the issues in points 1-3.

Now for nunber 4, how do you check your minutes if you are not on a prepaid plan? (Maybe you can, I just don't know about it)

5. I can agree with this one

6. How would you possibly know that an INTERNAL investigation is occurring? Wouldn's these charges show up on your bill?

7. They cost you THOUSANDS? HOW?

8. What does she have to do with any of this?
