I am trying to get the General Publics awareness to the serious, malicious scams that the major cellular telephone companies are committing to the General Public. In this case the company name is T- Mobile in affiliation with Radio Shack.

During the holiday season in December 2009, I went to pay my cellular phone bill at Radio Shack. The counter clerk at Radio Shack offered me a great deal. The conditions of the great deal were stipulated as thus; change my service from my previous cellular phone provider to T-Mobile. I would receive two cellular phones for free. My monthly bill would be $115.00 per month with a $30.00 hook up fee. The Radio Shack counter clerk went over the details with me assuring me of a monthly bill of $115.00 per month after the first month with the additional $30.00 hook up fee.

I was very happy with the offer that I received, allowing me to have an additional phone for my loved one to have as well. Within the next few weeks I had a turn of unfortunate events allowing me unable to pay my first months bill. No excuses on my behalf, I signed the contract therefore I am reliable.

After the first thirty days of quality cellular telephone service, according to the plan organized by the Radio Shack counter clerk and T-Mobile, my service was turned off.

Fully expecting this reaction due to my fault from the unfortunate turn of events, I was working on fixing this issue to pay what I had owed to retain my cellular telephone privileges.

When I received my first bill from T-Mobile, it was as expected, $145.00. With no cellular telephone service for the entire month of January I then received a bill from T-Mobile for the amount of $761.04! That amount was for one month of T-Mobile service!

By no means am I looking for sympathy for not paying a bill that I had agreed to pay. I am however trying to notify the General Publics awareness as to the fact that this kind of what I would consider criminal activities are happening to the General Public.

I have always considered Radio Shack and T-Mobile honest American and legitimate companies that you could trust. How wrong was I? Even if I was illiterate to the fine print of my cellular telephone contract, I find this monthly bill with any or all of T-Mobiles service in the amount of $761.04 to be completely outrageously unacceptable.

I do not know how to handle such outrageous behavior from such prominent Businesss such as Radio Shack and T-Mobile, but please let my story be known. If at all possible please let me know how I should handle my situation.

I have nothing to hide so I am sending along with this letter a copy of the bill that I have received from T-Mobile.

Out of all the News Agencies, Politicians and others that I will be notifying, I hope that someone will consider these facts and let the General Public be aware of my story.

I thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Sincerely:

Brenda

Hello Friend,

After reviewing your bill, this doesn't seem to be an issue with radio shack at all, it seem to be an issue with T-Mobile. When your cellphone service was shut off because you did not pay your bill, you broke your contract, as a result of breaking your contract, you were charged $200 per contract, and you signed the contracts stating if you broke the contract, you were to play the fee of $200.

$200 x 2 phones (2 contracts) = $400, around the amount of the one time charges on your attached bill, plus the past due amount of $300, on top of that, there is taxes added to that, and your month of service you were billed for.

A total of all those added together came to $761.04, there is no crimial activity, fraud, or rip off in this report. This is not a legitimate report. You have to always read and understand what you are getting yourself into when signing a contract.

However my suggestion is to call T-Mobile customer service, you may be able to fix the $400 fees for you.

first of all, RadioShack has absolutely nothing to do with this bill. They are in no way shape or form connected to T-Mobile's billing department, nor do they have any way of altering it either way.  All they did was sell you the phone.  The only way for your bill to get that high is from usage.  You either went over your minutes, text messages, or internet usage.
