As an employee of this company, I expected to be treated fairly and paid based on my work. It is an answering service, and while the work is not hard, it can be very stressful. It is not a large company, but they are pulling in large money. The problem is with salaries.

I have witnessed employees here bend over backwords to help these people out and receieve NOTHING in return. Employees at this company for 2 years are receiving less money than people there for less than 6 months. Figure that out. An employee that had no experience got hired in at $7.50 while an employee who has been there 2 years started out at $6.50 and has not received a raise yet.

This employee who has not received a raise has done more than enough to prove his worth. Another employee who has been there for 2 years received one raise to $7/hr and has bent over backwards for their employers. They are now promising him a quarter raise after a year. This seems proposterous to me. I believe all employees should be treated equally and paid based on ability.

It has been said that the office manager stated "If they are willing to work for what I am giving them, why should I give them a raise?" Maybe because they DESERVE one. But dont quote me - this is just my opinion....

The Employees are expendable while the Employers have the right to do as they please regarding pay and rules.

Yes, that is what we call it these days:

"An Employers Market"

The Employees are expendable while the Employers have the right to do as they please regarding pay and rules.

Our Office Manager had a heart surgery done about 2 - 3 weeks ago. Since then, one of the other Supervisors has kind of "taken her place" temporarily. She handles a lot of the work our Office Manager does - NOTHING! They sit around on their fat asses and do nothing.

They then proceed to bark rules & regulations at us out of nowhere just to test their power.

WE ARE TIRED OF THIS!

You hit the nail on head!

"If they are willing to work for what I am giving them, why should I give them a raise?"

COST SAVINGS! That is the name of the game.

Whenever there is a job that does not require a great deal of training and skill, the boss has no difficulty finding replacements. He is well aware of this and knows there is no need to be concerned about employees leaving. In fact, anyone earning more than minimum, he would like them to leave so he can hire a cheaper warm body.

Sorry, but you could work your fingers to the bone and not get ahead in this environment. All of the cards are stacked against the employees.
