Taylor Industries Ingersoll Rand Inside wire man Controls Tech. Urbandale, Iowa

I am a member of the IBEW and was an employee of Taylor Industries for 91/2 years.I never ever was disciplined in the whole time I was there. 
  In September of 2008 I filed a grievance against John Terry for hiring a non- union contractor. The day before he had told me if I didn't like it I could @^$%*&^ go home. I am a proud union member for almost 20 years and could not or would not allow that to happen.
   I went to the union hall the next morning and filed a grievance against him. Two days later I was asked to come back to the shop by J Terry. I called the union officials and asked them to meet me there. We turned it around that day and he had too hire a union contractor.
 The only reason he did this was to save 800.00, how sad. Well in January or February he started getting really shitty. I filed a hostile work grievance against him as did several others. We were all tired of being bullied and had enough.
  This was not the first time he had been talked to about the way he treated co-workers and other employees. He had been reprimanded before.In April of 2009 we had a one man lay off, and he got a way with it. My union said there wasn't any thing they could do because of the time lapse... Why do people think they can get away with violating people rights as workers and nothing happens to them.
