My Story about The Brenar Group (TBG,inc)
First of all Im not going to talk about the day to day operations of what goes on, because its already been explained before in a lot of post. I worked for the TBG, inc from Nov 2006-April 2007. I was one of the first employees to get hired. I got interviewed Ed Cunnlith (owner from Wentworth Marketing) was helping out Rebbeca (the owner of TBG). This is the branch she came from. My first week there half the crew was from Atlanta and moved up here to start it up with Rebbeca. I didnt find it strange that they were all living together because I figured they just moved up here and didnt know anybody. Then there is the owner, who was living with her assistant Oscar. I mean why you would share an apartment with another person if you make over 6 figures a year.
Anyway I ended up making it into leadership when they had the old campaign. You see when I got hired it was B2B AT&T campaign instead. They had problems because the paper work was outrageous. You had to fill out about 10 sheets of paper and some sheets if you had one cross mark on a word, you had to start of over. It was however better because you didnt have to work on Saturday and got off around 7. Then they decided to switch to door to door.
Let me jump back and tell you how most of the employees live. Every weekend they got drunk. I remember when I got in they would be playing Beer pong in the living room. Rebbeca would buy most of the beer and she would also drink as well. I have picture of the owner chugging a liquor bottle. (if you want to check it out just reply back) It was a total mess in all of those apartments. On the right corner stacks and stacks of trash. LOL turns out they got evicted because Mike Rosenburg (owner of Columbus, OH branch now) was in charge of Rent and didnt pay.
One thing is really true they are scandalous and two faced. Even the nicest person in the company is bad=Wrinardo. You see the only good thing I got from this is I met my future wife towards the end. We ended up leaving shortly after. Wrinardo was her leader and he took her to work everyday. Which by the way was nice. If you ever meet the guy hes funny, nice, and has a nice sense of heart. Well when she had to quit because making 300 a week average (if youre lucky) cant pay an apartment, bills, and food. He tried to convince her to stay and we will work something out, like get a roommate, etc. We told him getting that still wouldnt work and we need to find a steady job. Turns out she left her stuff in his car, cloths, shoes, and jacket. We called him and he said hell come over and drop them off. He texted and it was the same thing. Here it is June 08 and we still dont have the stuff.
Thats not the best part. We ended up getting a roommate who worked for them. She was French and moved from Flordia to St. Louis for this job! She needed the job because she needed to keep her Visa and wanted to start a career. TBG was unable to pay because she didnt have a SSN. It took about a month to get it while she was working. In the time she had to use the owners own name code for sales. So she was selling under her bosses name! When she did get payed, which was 5 weeks in it was 150 bucks. And Rebbeca said that most of those sales were rejects. That was a lie because my wife went out with her while she still worked there and she had two win backs in one day. Which is at least 225 bucks! She always splits her earning with whoever she takes along. Well our roommate would come home and complain about the job, and thinking about quitting etc. For the most part we stayed out of it. But she would come in and ask for our opinion. We would only tell her that its up to you and talk to you boyfriend or Rebbeca about what you feel. Two days later at 9 at night I get a call on my Cell phone from Rebbeca telling me to not to talk with her employees and that its none of her business. 1. We sign papers saying we are independent contractors. 2. It is my business because its affecting our life. Turn back the clock when I did leave, I started talking with my wife a few days after. I went to pick up my last paycheck and she was mad I was dating her and said not to ruin her chance of a lifetime. I told her it wasnt her concern and she shouldnt worry about it. I was still at good terms with all the employees there.
That is just the tip of the Iceberg and there are a lot more stories I can tell you. Bottom line, its not a good company to work with. One minute they love you, the next your considered a failure. I was late once the whole time I worked there. The reason being I picked up a coworker whose car broke down and he called me when I was driving. I acted like a team player and Rebbeca said that I shouldnt been late and should worry about myself. Creditable coming from somebody who started in Creve Couer city place, moved to Chesterfield, moved up to Westport, and landed downtown St. Louis. It not good to move 4 times in year and a half and change your company to TBG because if you google, yahoo it there a lot of companies with that acronym as oppose to The Brenar group.
Last comment about the dream, if you guys do make millions of dollars and retire young is it worth it? Im saying no for the fact that its dirty money! How many lives have you ruined, tricking people, and flat out lied to. When and if you do have kids Im proud of my job. Anybody who works for TBG,inc or Cydcor its hard to answer questions like what is your job like. Oh its like playing the devil adovatcate.
