as one who's worked for TCT/Wilhelmina as a scout and now as a talent executive in orlando, I have to say this site is very interesting. BUUUUUUT, not all of what you read here is true. for example there was a posting the other day about Dieter from Wilhelmina having aids and being gay. hello, the guy is so not gay and everyone knows it- it was written by a guy who used to own one of our franchises but got fired.

but a lot of what is written is true or was- yes, as scouts we had goals of people to scout each day-that's the way it is in any business- so many calls to make, customers to see, money to bring in.

as a talent executive we have to be selective or we get charged back the enrollment if the person isn't qualified.

there is a lot of stuff about some of the people who worked for the company but most of them don't even work here or aren't in charge. cort randell?? he comes here once every 2 or 3 months for a day?

where are these 'insiders' getting their information?

I'm somewhat new as a TE but the older TEs said a lot has changed since we merged with wilhelmina- they've fired a half dozen top people who were caught saying stuff that wasn't correct. in one case it was so minor- the girl implied that we would book the customer on jobs when everyone knows we're a website that AGENCIES use to book the models. totally innocent and had no bearing on whether the girl would sign up- but they fired her anyway.

a lot of this came about because of the wilhelmina deal. they're a huge modeling agency in nyc and wanted to make sure we sell this website the way they want it- in fact they approve our scripts and anything that goes out with the wSN name on it.

as for models not getting jobs, all I can say is every single day, every day at our meetings they hold up photos of models with the name of the agency that booked them and the specific job they did (this is Dave, he got booked by ASAP agency out of Chicago for a 3 day Corona Promotion at $25 an hour for 30 total hours")- stuff like that- then they place those pages in a book that hangs on our wall. I'M NOT SAYING 150,000 MODELS all got jobs every day, but I know every day there are models working because we see it.

I'm not saying we're perfect, and I've seen it as a scout and on the inside, but when you allow postings that say Alec and Dieter are having gay sex to stay up, you should at least put a note saying "we don't know if this is true or not" because it just looks stupid. stuff is starting to change for the better here. but I also understand there's legit criticism out there and that's cool.

I mean, come on- Joe Gomez the brains of the operation?? I've met him once and he's been down in our office maybe twice in the months I've been here. Cory is one of the main guys, as is Pedro. they run the show.

Hi, you know me; I'm Texino! I am working today because it is hot as a firecracker, but it is cool as a cuke down here in the lab.

What with the Reagan Business of late, we are getting loads of money sliding in for stem cell research, so I kind of need to be here anyway.

It's nice and quiet too. Just some soft music and the ticking of the teletype. If there are any fetus' about they must be napping.

Did you know that a fetus is somewhat like a meal worm in that you can refrigerate them for ever and then wake them back up with the warmth of a light bulb. (try that with a baby Mr or Mrs. right to life)

Now about this modeling whoo ha. If you want to be a model, it is important that you have confidence and nice teeth. Models are used in all sorts of advertising and there is a huge turnover in the business. Most models take some manner of training which teaches them how to walk and keep good posture.


Each model should develop and keep a portfolio. This is a collection of photographs (Head Shots) and a resume of the kinds of modeling he or she has done. Putting this together is a process that takes time and money. Once the model has developed some "cred" then he or she may sent out copies of the portfolio to various agencies. You can find lists of accredited agencies on the internet. If your portfolio looks good then an agent may take you on as a client. Since agents make their money off a percentage of a model's wage, it is in their best interest to find you some work. Still to get to a place in the agent's "stable" of modeling talent a model will probably have to show willingness to take on less than glamorous duties. Things like standing around supper market openings or passing out flyers at a car dealership are the sort of thing I mean. Did you know that certain people make money as hand models and arm models? There are many many ways to enter this business.

Off all the ways available, I would think that spending money for some internet scouting network is probably not your best choice. I need to investigate what all this posting is about, and then I will get back with you.

Whom originally posted this report, ...You crack me up! I rarely read this, but I've seen postings of yours before, making up ridiculous sex scandal stories in rip off report, pretending to be an "investigator," (trying to discredit the other reports) Now you are wondering where these posters are getting their information, and saying not to believe all of the postings!?

It's entertaining, but please either be the one making up the stories (if you choose to take that low low route) or be the one defending the company (which is another low low low route)...but you can't expect to pretend to be both and have people take you seriously! Either way, in the end, you are supporting WSN/TCT, so we really can't expect any better from you. Poor, poor guy.

Hey Everyone,

Jay Wallace aka Jason Hoffman is the original poster of this report and as expected, has performed well below standard intellectually. My reference to Dave Elliot never indicated he was in town. And as you have admitted, Jay, Dave used to be involved with the TEs, (still is really) as he is also "managing" the office directors and the call center. What does he not do?

What he does not do is stick up for himself. Instead he has to have his punk, Jay, do his dirty work. Dave would continually brag that he would debate any person or agency about the value of this company, yet he has never spoken publicly. Instead, he cowers whenever a network news magazine or the Assistant Attorney General comes around. He tries to rule by fear and intimidation, but instead we laugh at him and you behind your back. Armand Kulpa is more feared for his "no talking on your personal cell phone" rule.

Now he has to do more with less; the call center budget has been cut in half, from $500k to $250k and now there is a bigger problem - 70% are minors calling in. That is ostensibly the reason why we have the antique phone bank with the fan on the motherboard so it won't blow. Now the call center is instructed to take those calls, and the majority of those calls are from minorities; African Americans and Latinos. This is our target population. Jay, Dave, with my testimony you will go down. This is major class action lawsuit time.

Of course, Dave is on his "tour of terror." No one's job is safe. His three stike policy is a joke and will only dig them in a deeper ditch. Try explaining why you keep screwing people out of their benefits; firing them just before they are eligible.

I've heard this before... Ya know... "It's getting better..."

It's a crock. They said that when Lou Perlman took over, as Options changed to Trans Continental. Nothing will change.

Their tactics are the same, the plan is the same.

Heck, for $1000, I can get you your own site built that brings out YOUR personality... Hosting for 2 years, and you can e-mail the URL directly to modelling agencies with REAL connections... etc.

BTW Wilhemina/TCT/etc. You guys should really take down the web-admin for your layer 9 switch. It's really exposed.

That's another thing, their site isn't secure. I can see anyone and everyone I want to as if I were an agent; They promise secure information. Big surprise... it isn't secure. Oh yes. It's true.

first, dave elliott's been out of town for 3 weeks and he hasn't been involved in sales since terri took over sales 2 months ago. this is a total fake posting, just like some of the others ones.

second, by having the customer sign forms IN the office instead of just reading stuff over the phone, the number of cancellations has dropped and customers are much happier- they have to sign off on everything before they are charged. it is much clearer even then when we read it over the phone.

please- you're so not a real TE, let alone a super TE- you don't even know the code to get upstairs. if you're a super TE you should know it. so what is it.......

The reason that the Talent Executives are going to the locations is so that we can get away from the telemarketing stigma that Jackie Dowd is hounding us about. If the sales are right there at the open call, it isn't telemarketing, is it? It also increases the probability of the sale. The theory, as Dave Elliot tells us, is not to let them have time to think about the negatives of the sale. Increase the urgency and then when buyer's remorse sets in, the sale momentum turns to reconvincing them they made the right decision... feed them BS and keep them in the dark, just like mushrooms - thus sayeth Dave Elliot!!!

April Holt & Jamie Cothern went to Denver, Carrie Goclan, Courtnie Meche, Lori DelToro & Yvette Laboy went to San Jose, Eric Heitner & Brandt Myers went to Tulsa, and there are some other TEs around the country right now.

Marketing management is just like a battle. We have to stay two steps ahead of the government and attack the target at the same time. Rip-off Report is the fly in our ointment, so I am taking a big chance in writing, but I have my reasons.

One more thing... I know that "Jay Wallace" is behind this original report. There is some subtle talk about this operation by the negative PR team, working with Jay and Ed Bell.

As a talent executive myself, I would like to say that ANYONE working as an executive with WSN is qualified. I have been in the industry for 18 years, and believe me, I know what to look for in a potential talent. The people posting negative comments on this site are probably those individuals that do not have what it takes to break into this industry.

Keep ypur NEGATGIVE comments to yourself, and don't try to ruin it for the ones out there that DO HAVE the potential.

I want all the people to understand what a TE or Talent Executive is! It is a telemarketer! They have no training in the making of talent what-so-ever. Most of these TEs are incredibely unattractive and have not much education. Also, an owner of a franchise does not get fired dumbshit! They bought the franchise! It is a bit more complicated then that but then again...you wouldn't understand because you are so obviously ignorant.
