NEVER DEAL WITH "T&D LOCKSMITHS, Laguna Niguel" OR THEIR REFERRAL COMPANY
"ENTERPRISE LOCKSMITHS".

The locksmith from T&D Locksmiths out of Laguna Niguel, Nate Pito, is by far and without a doubt the worst repairman Ive ever had the displeasure of knowing.

We had called Enterprise Locksmith to have a broken, front door, lock handle mechanism repaired and they sent out Nate from T&D Locksmiths. They also work out of Orange where the main phone number is as well as Fullerton and Long Beach.

Nate showed up in a rental car claiming his van was in the shop. From the second I opened the door he was rude, condescending, arrogant, un-professional, immature, exasperated and on top of this could barely be understood with his accent. He also decided that it would be professional to make sure his butt crack was showing at all times.

The initial quote was $345 to replace the lock. This lock is available at Home Depot for about
$65. Of course there were labor fees involved but the hardware mark-up was an exorbitant 300% or close to 4 times its retail cost.

The other option he presented was to replace it with a $22 door handle and that would be $100 for the part plus labor, almost a 400% mark-up or 5 times what it costs retail.

To avoid any additional hassle, our landlord agreed to pay for the full door handle. I informed Nate that I wanted the same type we had with a dead bolt and a separate lock on the handle. After arguing with Nate for quite some time and enduring his eye rolling and exasperated outbursts about his claim that they no longer made that type (as I was online looking right at them on the Lowes website) he left to go supposedly pick up the double lock mechanism I had requested.

He of course returns 30 minutes later with the cheaper, one lock version with only the deadbolt and no lock on the handle that I didn't want. We continue to battle about it and now he starts in about how if he were able to find a lock with a separate lock on the handle, it would be a different size hole and it would cost much more. Its hard to see how his mark-up could go any higher than 400% but apparently that would have been the case.

He rushed to install the lock as Ive read most unscrupulous locksmiths do so its too late to do anything about it at the time. Arguing with him was a waste of breath as everything that came out of his mouth was a lie. I was so shocked that any human being could have the audacity to come into somebodys house to do a repair and argue like that and be so disrespectful, that it was either let him finish and get out and deal with it later, or resort to physically tossing him out of my home. I took the high road and let him finish and leave.

Once he left we found numerous claims about the company that referred him to us Enterprise Locksmiths and even a TV report from San Diego was even done about what a miserable company it is. Clearly there is no standard whatsoever with this company to have people as rude as Nate from T&D Locksmiths of Laguna Niguel,  listed as a company theyre referring out to homeowners and still keep them in their database.

Long story short, we spoke with Lawrence Tomneu from T&D Locksmiths, Laguna Niguel and demanded they come back out and replace the lock with the double lock I had requested that Nate refused to bring the first time. While being argumentative at best, he agreed to send Nate back out to install the lock we went and purchased at Lowes. That was of course (if the hole was the right size). Ask any locksmith or home improvement store and theyll tell you there is only one standard size. Just another way for Nate to try swindle people out of more money with ridiculous, false claims.

Amazingly enough, Nate (who this time showed up with his backup little henchman who stood there the entire time like he was ready for a fight) had the audacity and unmitigated gaul to start up with his attitude again when he came back to install our new lock. Demanding the lock, demanding the old one. Then he starts in about how we purchased a similar lock and why did we buy it if his lock wasnt good enough. Apparently not being bright enough to understand the idea that two locks are better than one, he figured it was time to play the rude card again and try to get up in my face.

Once we went around a few times again arguing, he told us he hadnt received complaints like this in 25 years on the job. He couldnt have been more than 25 so I guess he came out of the womb with his locksmith belt on.

We read pages and pages of 1 star reviews on Yelp to him about Enterprise Locksmiths which would have been 0 stars had that been an option, and he had no comment.

Bottom line again, Nate is unprofessional, rude, arrogant and has no concept of customer service. Im glad I was able to hold my temper because he was very close to getting tossed, face first out of my home. He epitomizes the typical, ignorant, contract worker that has no customer skills. You request one item and he installs something much cheaper and completely different.

His slogan Im sure isnt The Customer is always right but something more to the effect of  Screw
the customer, Im right, youre wrong and if you dont like it, Ill insult you and argue with you the entire time. Surreal and a nightmare to say the least.

Again, never deal with T&D LOCKSMITHS, Laguna Niguel or their referral  company ENTERPRISE LOCKSMITHS.
