First of all Quality Product, But poor Business Model.

When I purchased the product on March 19th I paid 309.23.

Then on 4/21 I get a charge of 31.40 and 38.87
5/20 6/19 7/21 8/18 9/17 10/17 I get charges of 28.78 or 23.71 alternating months
7/21 and 10/20 I get charges of 38.87.

Mind you I don't look at my CC Statements very often and they usually go in the file unopened and the CC payment is automatic.

So I inquire about these charges I look on my credit card statement and there is no Phone Number just a WWW.TBBINFO.COM in the details that you have to go online to get.

Allegedly they were sending emails to remind of the payments, I have not recieved even an initial email with a confirmation receipt, which I thought to be shady.

Is what is also jacked up is the 38.87 is a weekly 2.99 online support group that you get your first month free and then you guessed it, now a quarterly charge. How can you charge someone for web access when they have never loged on to start the service?

The 23.71 and the 28.78 was an alternating monthly fee for them sending me supplements. OK there were supplements in the initial workout box, but you get so many "free offers" in the phone conversation from the TV infomercial how in the hell are you to know that they will send supplements once a month.

Add to the mix I moved, so I had no idea supplements were being sent in the mail, UPS or somehow, and they haven't been returned so I must be using them! Yes, well send the guy who lives in my old apartment a bill then. Every one of my other monthly services notified me when I changed the zip code on my AMEX to the new address. Not this company.

Even two days ago I was charged the 38.87 for the quarterly online access fee. now that I've canceled after the payment hit my credit card I am not authorized to set up an account or use their services for which I have already paid, and they won't refund the money that was to go for the next three months.

I asked them what my recourse was, they specified to call my Credit Card Company regarding the charges. I was told On their end the Charges are valid and the Credit Card Company probably won't do anything.

So after figuring this out, I'm screwed and they got $300 of my cash for doing and providing nothing

So whats next I buy a dvd at an electronics store and I am auto-enrolled in a movie lovers club for 2.99/wk charged conveiniently to my credit card.

so far I've had my cc company deny the charge, so beachbody gets a charge back fee.

let see how long they can keep loosing money a little at a time.

I check my cc statment most days on line, I notied they ( beachbody) put another bogus charge on my account.

I called my cc company ( citiband) and they credited the amount the following day.

I asked if they could block beachbody from putting false charges on my accound, but no luck.

what a total waste of my time keeping these scum from ripping me off.

Lets hope someone in power ( offical) gets screwed over by beachbody and goes after them.

I contacted my credit card company ( citibank) and they got my money back

the agent at ctitbank said they get several complaiints of this scam every week.

seems some other companies that get your cc info pass it along and the scammers try to slip charges into bills and make money on the persons that dont notice it ( for a while)

I now take the time to check my cc statments online often, just to catch things like this before they are there too long.

BeachBody Comes thru without any threats or ear twisting

I was the one who filed the Ripoff Report YESTERDAY against Beachbody. The next morning... today, I sent an email to messageboards@beachbody.com.

I told them I was pissed and it was their move and then posted the link to my complaint.

That was 7:15 This morning, by Noon I had a response...

I am also going to pull your call that you had initially with our customer service representative. If you were not properly informed of the procedures on how to cancel the monthly support I will credit your account in full. As far as the vitamins being sent to an address you are no longer receiving I will also check on this too. Thank you for being patient and I shall get back to you via email within the next few hours.

I have some good news and bad news for you.

I reviewed your account and listened to the recording.

You were informed about the vitamins, and how to cancel if you did not want them after the 30 day trial period. You were also informed about the Team Beachbody club and how to cancel as well as the billing. And you agreed to them both.

The bad news is since you were informed about these programs and how to cancel them both, I will not be able to credit the first 2 charges which were billed on 4/21 for 38.87 and 31.40. The good news is I did credit you for the rest of them in good will, as I do understand it is easy to forget and also I pay my bills without checking my statements. I also credit all the vitamin charges due to the fact that you moved. You should see a credits totaling the amounts of $208.92. Keep in mind that on 9/5 a credit was issued for a returned bottle of vitamins as well.

If you are satisfied with what we have completed today, I would ask that you please acknowledge that I have helped you so other people can know that I am here to help!

Pierre also included an attachement of my recording so I could listen to it myself. Being charged for the first two charges is completely fair and as far as I'm concerned it is good news. I want to acknowledge Pierre for the prompt service, attention to detail and incredible customer concern and for understanding the cancelation misunderstanding on my part as a human error.

My suggestion to the Beachbody company would be to verify email addresses taken over the phone. i.e. the customer service representative sends out an email and the customer sends a reply back that they have recieved the messages. This way all correspondence is confirmed between Beachbody and the Customer.

P90X is a fantastic product, and after my experience with Pierre, I can say that Beachbody is an honest company NOT out to nickle and dime your bank account. With this experience I would do business with them in the future if they have additional products that fit my fitness needs.

Conclusion:
Report Beachbody is NOT a Ripoff!
