I reached out to this dental office for help -- only to be disappointed.  Their billing is totally screwed up!  They billed my dental insurance for a more extensive and expensive procedure that was not even done.  When questioned about this, Dr. Ponce wanted to settle the matter with me personally and not my insurance company.   

I set up payment arrangements even before my procedure was done (which they accepted).  However, I was thrown in a back room which has a door on it on my next appointment to be told that they could not accept my payment arrangement (after the papers were signed, sealed and delivered a week earlier).   The office manager was very rude, and said that there was nothing I could do except to pay them that day.   Then they stated that they were only going to do half the work. 

Also, Dr. Monica Ponce works without any sterile gloves or instruments. She does not abide by the Dental Standards from UCLA, the dental school that she graduated from, and also the "Patient Bill of Rights".  She and her office staff treat the patients like they are a "number (like in dollars)" instead of live human being, or respect.  Dr. Ponce runs from room to room.  It is questionable whether she washes her hands between patients.  She leaves the exam room and does not even state whether your appointment or dental work is over with. 

Dr. Ponce is also known to LIE to your face and talk behind your back with her office staff.  She also pins you down in the chair.  She does not the parents come in the exam room with their children.   Her dental work is very substandard.  I ended up having to go to another dental office to have all the work she performed redone! 

I could write a lot more than what I wrote here.  The bottom line is this: 

RUN, DO NOT WALK away from this office!!! 

I also recommend getting in touch with your dental insurance prior to getting any procedure done with them.  She also stated that she knew persons high up in the BBB and that she can get glowing recommendations  from them.   Do not believe all the "RAVING" reviews from other sites that take down all the bad reviews.

I'm not sure what " dishonest practices" you are referring to, but I would like address this ridiculous complaint. First and foremost we offer our patients the highest level of care and diagnoses treatment based on what is needed for the optimal heath of patients. We stand 100% behind your diagnoses. To clam that our x-ray's are not medical quality is preposterous. We use those same x-rays at surgery centers and hospitals. 

Our office are Accredited  with AAAHC, and follow all HIPPA guidelines in regards to patients and office practices.

In this situation you FAILED to complete a records release form. This is where the patient needs to be accountable, you called twice and requested records both times you were advised that this form needed to be completed to protect the patients privacy and security.

This issue has been resolved with the Dental board and they agreed that a release form needed to be completed. Once that form was completed we were more then happy to send your records.

Dr. Monica Ponce is not an office manager she is the clinical director who recently was award the status of M.A.G.D  one of the highest honors in the dental community. She makes herself available to patients in order to provider the highest level of customer care. Her personal cell phone number is post throughout the offices so that patients can reach her at anytime.

When she called you about this matter you gave her a email address to a dental office she sent the x-ray over per your request when she  followed up with you to insure that this office received them , you advised her that you were not going to that office, Could it be a case of another "dishonest practice".

This further delayed the process and wasted her time, once you gave her the correct information she provided you with your x-rays and advised you to contact her if you had any further issues.

That doesn't sound like some one who is dishonest, in fact that sounds like some one who stands behind her office and service. The Board saw no fault in our actions and there is no investigation.

I encourage any one who reads this review to do there research and check our rating with the BBB and the Board. We have been in business for over 13 years we have never ripped off a patient.

Tender Dental is horrible

I went through the their dishonest practices! the only way to make sure they are held accountable is to call the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners 702-486-7044. They will investigate them!! The more proof of their scandalous behavior the better chance of making sure they're held accountable!!

They claimed that my husband and I needed a ridiculous amount of dental work. Because we did not trust what they said we went to another dentist and we requested to have our x-rays be provided. The staff told us that we would have to pay an exorbitant amount of money for the x-rays and they would not be medical quality. They told us that it didn't matter if we brought the records that they gave us to the new dentist office because they wouldn't be able to read it. We went into the office several times we called several times they said that we would have to speak to their manager. However, the manager never returned our calls the only time she returned the call is after the medical board contacted her about our claim.

The Nevada State Board of dental examiners is still investigating our claim. More people need to contact them directly instead of the Better Business Bureau to ensure that this type of ridiculousness does not continue to go on. Contacting the Board of dental examiners was definitely something that lit a fire, because prior to that the manager absolutely refused to return any of our calls, refuse to give us our dental records x-rays without paying a ridiculous amount of money. Once we contacted the Board of dental examiners then the manager Monica Ponce at that point called us and said she had absolutely no idea any of this was going on. I am not stupid..it's obvious what is going on!! What gain would the staff have for overcharging customers? 

Please instead of filing with the Better Business Bureau or on top of filing with the  Better Business Bureau contact the Nevada State Board of dental examiners. I have provided the phone number above!! enough consumers can get this place takien care of so they don't  continue to rip people off!
