Terri Smith / Cole Peter Puppy Scam Brentwood, Tennessee

I just wanted to put my experience in with the other so people could see this scam and maybe search before they make a mistake. Cole Peter is already on here and Terri Smith is not so I am adding him. The stories are the same...They find your newspaper ad, text you to get you to email info about pet, and then proceed to tell you they are interested etc. These are the email I received (I have yet to reply back because I did research first).

Terri Smith's email:

HelloThanks for your response.Am okay with  the puppy and i am interested in buying the puppy for my family and it going to be our house pet Concerning the payment i can only send you check or pay with my credit card for the check i would need the following details for the check to get youfast..Here is the information needed for the check to get you soon..Your Full Name....Your Contact Address..Your Phone Number..last price....Pls get back to me with the information so that the check can be sent out to you as soon as possible...Concerning the shipping of the  puppy I have my shipping company that will come for the pick up at your location don't worry about the shipment i will take care of that and the check will be overdraft after you received the check you DEDUCT THE MONEY THAT ACQUIRE TO YOU AND  will help me to send the remaining balance to my shipping company through western union outlet for the pick up of the puppy n.b== i will give you extra  $50 to reserve it for me.

Cole Peter's Email:

Hi..
Thanks very much for your response. I would be buying the Puppy you have for sale so kindly reserve it for me and I do have and Yard where the puppy can play at, its because am hearing impaired. I am sending you this to make final reconfirmation of the Puppy which am willing to buy for my son as his birthday present and I also want to let you know that payment will be by certified Check However, I want to alert you on the fact that you will be receiving the Check this week and payment will cover your cost and as well as the shipping cost to be paid to the person that will take care of the pickup in your house. So please as soon as you receive the payment, get it cashed immediately, deduct the money that accrues to you and send the remaining balance to the Head Office of the company that handles the shipment via Western union. More so, I will pay you an extra $100 if you can reserve this for me. So in view of the above, Here are some of the details I will need for final issuance of the Check to you.

(1) Full Name
(2) Mailing address, no p.o.box please
(3) your direct telephone number both home and cell.?
{4} Acceptance of my offer
(5} Final asking price

Once you get back to me with all the above information, the check will be issued out immediately and it will be sent to you.

They both text and asked for info to be sent to an email after seeing my newspaper ad. I didn't go as far as some who went through getting the check and giving info but I wanted people to see the similarities and be able to make an educated decision.
