The American HIV AIDS Corporation TAHAC refuses to pay our invoice for work rendered or communicate as to why but threatens us with investigation Kennesaw, Georgia

My online virtual staffing technology company provided web site development work for TAHAC, The American HIV AIDS Corporation, Leonard Branham and their Board of Directors in 2012. We provided research, content and direction for their website. We sat in on his review calls, planning calls, idea ramble calls and had phone meetings with others working with him.

TAHAC chose Joomla for their content management system and because of their layout with categories, sub categories, navigation we found ourselves doing double work. So work that we would place in a category may not be in the right category. We would then move the content to various other locations.

Leonard Branham, not the most technical person, would send an email saying that something wasn't showing up. We would then have to get on the phone with his web manager to correct his instructions. He wanted us to add pictures to his website, however we kept instructing him that he had to pay for pictures used.  

In October of 2012, we sent over a $244 invoice which included 4 months of our work. No response from him. We sent over several emails oer the next 2 months with no response. We called and he never returned any phone calls.

When we threatened to go public with their antics, he replied with a threat that he was going to have someone with the Attorney General's office investigate us. After using Google to search his name, I see where he ran into some trouble with the law back in November.

To date Leonard Branham has not contacted us through email or phone as to why he refuses to pay. He has offered no adjustment, no negotiation, no acknowledgement that we are owed any money for any of our time. If he was to just pay us for the hours on the phone having to listen to him ramble over those 4 months.

On a side note, the things that he says he wants to do with HIV and AIDS is noble. There's need for anyone suffering. I learned a lot in this research and donated a lot of my time. My point is that our $244 invoice really was a lot more. In communicating with Leonard, we offered to set up payments. Nothing, no communication at all.

I don't expect to get this money, however I don't want anyone else to make a mistake with Leonard. If his company can't stand up over $244 dollars, how can they be trusted to do the right thing with millions in the non profit arena?
