Management gives not one single f*ck about its residents at the Enclave Silver Spring! As long as you pay your rent on time that is the only thing they care about.
I have written several emails and nothing has ever been done no response, no acknowledgement, no action. The buildings are infested with roaches, mold and mice!

"In the many years I used this service for document shredding, they were consistently horrible to deal with." But you kept dealing with them. For years. "It is so ridiculous to be this incompetent and still have customers." I agree. Why are you still a customer after all these years? "We are expected to use them by our parent company."
Does "expected" mean "required?" It sounds like your parent company has decided that they are overall the better value, despite the problems. So why are you trying to make this YOUR problem? Oh wait, you say that YOUR invoices have been "sent to collections." So I guess it IS your problem.
But I can't help but wonder if this rant against a company you've been using for years has something to do with incompetence on your part, not this company. Your parent company doesn't have a problem with them- but you do...I suspect that you screwed up, and your screw-up makes this company "incompetent."

I live in Montgomery County as well, and I can tell you that there are consumer protections available to you free of charge. Find Montgomery County Rent Control and ask for an investigation and to file a complaint. You do not need to inform your landlord that you are doing this, but you may want to- you cannot legally be evicted for filing a complaint, and if you are evicted, you have a great lawsuit being handed to you.
