The Scam Part
They seem to work on emotioanlly weak people that are looking for attension. It's one of those places where people scream and kick and lay on the floor.
The way to become a memver is very, unusual. You have to go to something called 'Home Fellowship' for an entire year. But the problem is that there is no home fellowship in the summer.
There are Currently 14-16 of these, houses that yougo to every sunday morning unless there is an event or holiday. and some of the houses are not even in teh same county. it is very difficult to even get to one and as a church you shoud get help.
In order to become a Home Fellowship leader you have to start out with paying the church a fee of over 100 dollars.
Then they had a Home Fellowship Picnic back in January of this year and it was inn 3-6 different loccations. one church... 3-6 different locations for a picnic.
Tomorrow on March 29th they are having a "Market Place leaders Breakfast"
Then to really top it off, they have a cafe. called Cafe Eden. it's almost like starbucks. They have sandwiches that are ike 7 dollars, they ell gum and cookies and fruit smoothies. Even myvery first day there they had a family day. The plates were 7 dollars.
What kind of church is this?
It's not a church. it's a faith based business in the guise of a church.
the Harbour Church was Brithed from Light International another Corperation under them the founder of light international is also a former Wal-Mart CEO Darren Davis, who is in fact the Senoir pastor of the Harbour Church.
Yeah... You can't make this stuff up.
here are the websites. see if i'm lying, do the reasearch.

Emotional Part

Since it is a church or a supposed church, they work on emotions.
Before i left, alot of thing happened that made me see that these people are out for profit and do not care about people. I will take back what I said about it being a cult or starting one, but they have gone so far off the center of being a church it makes you woner what they are doing with peoples lives.
Back in december of 2013 i wanted to leave. someone that is a staff member and whom i thought was my friend convinced me to stay. We taked about my skills and she told me that one day i might use them to work in their cafe.
3 weeks later the opportunity arises and i wait 2 more weeks for a response. the mananging secretary emails me and in short denies me the position. ok fine. but then when i decided to leave the same woman whom told me that i could work in the cafe someday, said "I told Ashley that maybe you could not handle it." She also told me that there must be something wrong with me because i had went to two other churches before.
She was highly defensive and not helpful with my feelings.
but what really made us leave was the fact that help was too far and just not available.
They had something called a "Home fellowship picnic" that i mentioned before, back in early january. But the event was in 3 to 6 differnt locations. So we went to our closest location and became lost. We called three different numbers and no one was able to help us. then came the last straw was that my children looked at me and said "Mommy, why is no one helping us?" When it started to affect my children, I knew I had to leave.
So i offered to volinteer that same night before this happened on the beach. I asked a volinteer how she felt about the church and that i beleive that the fellowship is dead. She disagreed and did not know what to say to me. She then asked what other places I had been before. I told her that one church back in hollywood was very good. now hollywood is like 40-60 miles away. I do not have a car and i have a broken back.
"maybe you can do work for that church." Basically, Go somewhere else. I just told you the fellowship is dead and you say this to me?
then after I left one of the elders said that we should get our children in the park to play, i tried so very hard to stay friends with some of these people because i thought they cared. but they did not. I sent them a letter back in january and it was never discussed with me. i confronted the elder whom seemed nice and he said he was busy with his family and foster court cases. he never told me that. So i cut ties even after buying them gifts and giving him an aniversary gift.
they have no remorse. they are in it for gain and population. please please please do not invest with them. Please.
