The LN Group Mortgage Modification Rip-Off Internet

I contacted the LN group about a mortgage modification in late October- early November of 2009.

After we reached an agreement on price and terms, which included a money back guarantee, LN, suposedly went to work for me.

They asked me for a complete financial disclosure, which I provided. I even gave them a power of attorney to work with my mortgage company. They also had authorization to check my credit.

What I have found out  about LN is that LN's idea if helping me work out a modification with my mortgage compnay consisted of asking me for one document after the next in order that they fax it to my mortgage company. Essentially they acted as a messenger boy and had no real engagement or involvement in completing the job that I had hired them to do.

Every now and then my LN representative would tell me that they had everything that they needed and that we were waiting on word from the mortgage company.

Unfortunately, the only results that I ever saw from LN were repeated letters of rejection from my mortgage compant that were sent directly to me. Every time that I received one of these letters, I would call LN and they would ask me for more paperwork.

Finally at the beginnig of March, 2010, I got fed up and asked for my money back. LN's rsponse was a resounding no. Their reason??? They said that I did not give them a complete financial disclosure.

Since getting LN out of the middle of my affairs, my mortgage company and I have been able to work out a loan modification that works for both parties. it took a grand total of two weeks to get the thing done.

Beware of LN and companies like them. they are only predators that are out to make a bad situation worse.
