#12 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Cydcor is similar to Scientology

AUTHOR: anonymous - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, April 03, 2015

I worked for the Marketing group under Heather Herman and Young Youn from about 2003-2005.

During those two years I watched just about all of my friends come and go while trying to build my team and make assistant manager.  The drama and personal anguish I saw in others who couldn't make enough to earn a living finaly became too much to bear.  Peronally, I knew this was a scam as did most of the employees.   However, I had no job experiece and had to get at least 2 years of sales under my belt in order to move on and use my engineering degree to become a sales engineer.  Now I'm a water treatment sales manager and I have to say, my past sales experiece has helped me with my current job.

I'm not surprized Heather Herman finally got out of the business, though I honestly believe she will be successful in anything she does just due to her tanacity.  That's just my honest opinon with personal feelings asside.

The reason I quit was in part because I saw the true inside story behind "MANAGERS" and the big wigs who owned thier own offices.  There's no light at the end of the tunnel and managers do not really own thier own offices.  They are still pawns in the multi-level marketing scam, only it becomes even harder and more stressful to get out of it as a manager and you have to be 10 times more deceptive and ruthless to run an office that succeeds.  This is because you need to constantly "Feed The Machine" with new hires every day in order to get enough sales leaders who are good enough to create a team.  This means you need to LIE LIE LIE and misslead young impressionable kids straight out of college.  Combine that with enticing these kids with the comradary of instant friendships with good looking people and you have a cult like system very much on the order of SCIENTOLOGY.

Johon Wiggans was like Scientology's L. Ron. Hubbard of CYDCOR.  He was teh face of the company.   CYDCOR makes each office run a system with laws and chants, bells and gongs.  Like Scientology, if you say anything negative about the company you are labled as being negative and are a threat.  Scientology calls these people Suppressive Persons or SP's.  They will then likely fire you for questioning or scaring off other employees.   Also, they are all about "Tough Love".   You are at fault and you alone for not succeeding.  You need to work harder or longer hours until your shoes have holes.  They try to brain wash you by making your life compleately about the company with very litte outside contact with other friends.  If you dont hang out with your fellow employees after work you are ignored by the manager the next day and told you don't spend enough time with "your people"  I heard this alot when I was running a team of 6 people.  Another similarity to Scientology is that CYDCOR makes your pay for just about everything, including your way to the national sales meeting, taking your team out for Breakfast/lunch/diner, gas and all other expenses.  The managers tell you that you need to "Put Skin In The Game" which will show you are serious about becoming a manager.  Scientoloy also makes their members pay for courses in order to CLEAR their brains and reach higher levels of clarity.  The highst level of Clarity is called OT8 with

I went to a TOP GUN sales retreat for top performers with other people from our office in Puerto Rico.  One night, I hung out with Jon Wiggans and a couple other guys.  Think about the most arrogant and cocky athleate you ever knew and then multipy that by about 100.  That was the type of evergy Jon gave off.  He told me how good I was and blah blah blah, but after having some drinks with him I knew this was not the man I wanted to be like.   I was much much better than that.

I remember the day I quit.  I went into Heather's office, sat down and I couldn't believe what was happening to my body.  I was actually shaking and crying.   I'm a grown man and I'm crying as I tell her I wanted to quit.  This is how much the mind control/ competition get's to you even when you understand this is a multi-level marketing job.  I put in two years and I was scared to face my manager to quit.   Maybe it was because I thought I owed her more because she believed in me or something like that.   I don't really know but I could see from her reaction that she was not prepared for this.  She also teared up and we shared a hug.  I'm not sure, but I would like to think that moment was an eye opener for her as well.  I think she realized the damage she could do to a seemingly stong persons mind.   I know it wasn't too long after I left that she finaly quit.  I hope Heather has found a new life and direction.  She was also once a victum and was picked up by CYDCOR as a young kid.

Anyway, sorry for my rambling. I've been reading these posts through the years and wanted to get out some of my own experieces.

BF

Hey as long as there are suckers out there this company will continute to morph and survive. It's unfortunate they somehow manage to operate on legal technicalities but karma is a B**** and just like the Marketing Group eventually failed so will  these offices. Heather Herman apparently finally got a real job out in San Francisco working for the SF Chronicle. I'm sure by now they've figured out she's worthless and blew her out. Oh yeah she also found some moron to marry her. John Wiggins is still under investigation according to my sources. It's just a matter of time before he ends up trading his Pee Wee looking suit for an orange jumper!  Thanks for the update!

They changed their name yet again, I gather.  This time to Atlantic Coast Consulting in Glen Allen, VA.

And they're spawning!  They're a parent of Potomac Advisory Group in Alexandria, VA.

#9 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Botton feeders indeed

AUTHOR: I Left You In Manassas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 06, 2008

When I first interviewed with them it seemed pretty normal, on the second interview we had to go out in the field with people to observe how they did their job. It seems at the time The Marketing Group was checking Verizon Business accounts and offering to save them money etc by looking at there bills and making sure everything was current. Verizon cannot do that? My group went out to Manassas Virginia. They even had little Verizon contractor name tags that we made up in the office before we left hot off the press with our names on them.

While in the business district along route 234 we went into various places and offered to look at the bills of any and every customer on their list. Not one person would let us look at their bills who in their right mind would.

Once I realized what was going on I decided to make their day a little intresting. I simply disappeared from the group. I was the funniest thing I've pulled in while. I went to the Manassas Museum and hung out had a nice lunch while they looked all over downtown for me. Finally I took the VRE into Union Station then the metro back to Dunn Loring and got to my car.

Of course my answering machine was blown up with scathing messages from just about everyone in the office. That was 2 years ago, and today I had a visitor who walked into my office and asked to see my bills for my Verizon account. Yeah I'll let you look at them.

The Cult Has Morphed Again

AUTHOR: Adam - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 04, 2007

Recently "The Marketing Group" has changed its name again to "Global Business". This is the 3rd name change within 5 yrs. The masters of deception started as "Madison Marketing" then changed thier name to "The Marketing Group" and are now "Global Business" and can now be found on line at teamglobalbusiness.com.

Everytime thier employees discover the truth about being taken advantage of this business is forced to change thier name in order to continue to recruit new victims because people that discover the truth go online and post blogs like this one about these bottom feeders who call themselves people therefore hurting Heather Herman's recruiting efforts to sustain her business of deception.
