This company guarantees an 80% refund if they are unsuccessful in modifying your current home mortgage to a low fixed rate. Upfront Fee charged is 1% of loan amount, over 4k in my case. By their own statement a standard process may take anywhere from 30 to 180 days. My account has reached over 365 days. Needless to say I am without a Modified loan or Refund. This company is running a pure scam. "BBB" rating for this company is an "F", with over 20 complaints already filed without a response. I should have known better not to do business with any company that charges a upfront fee.

I knoww the Attorney General says that they will look into but has it been confirmed. Business like this should be shut down right away

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is initiating a Formal Investigation of The Modification Group, with 36 complaints filed with the Consumer Protection Section.
"BBB" online has a Industry comparison table which states..
# of business with NO complaints in the past 36 months - 12.
# of business with 1-4 complaints in the past 36 months - 5.
# of business with 26-99 complaints in the past 36 months - 1 "TMG" is in this range.
Total # of same relative size business in the BBB database in this type of business - 19
