I retained the services of the above named company on July 24, 2002 for my July 19, 2003 wedding. At that time I put down a deposit in the amount of $650.00 for their photography, videography and disc jockey services.

The following are the problems I experienced in my dealings with this company:

Disc Jockey: At the time of the deposit, July 24, 2002, I was given my choice of DJ's. I chose Brian Brown because of his personality and large library of Christian Dance and Latin Music.

A few weeks before my wedding in July of 2003, I received a call from Gregory Kovach stating that he was my DJ and he wanted to discuss the music for my wedding. I called my representative Lisa Goehringer and explained to her that this was not the DJ I had chosen. Her explanation was that Brian Brown was no longer with the company and that Gregory Kovach was substituted for Brian Brown. I asked her why I was not made aware of this sooner as I would have attended another meeting to choose my own DJ. She replied that she thought this had been communicated to me. I had no choice in the matter as my wedding was several days away.

I communicated with Gregory Kovach that I wanted Christian Dance Music, Latin Music and no sexually explicit music should be played. He asked me to complete and e-mail the online songs list. I chose only the songs that I wanted from the list and e-mailed it to the company. I was careful not to select songs that were sexually explicit.

During the reception, the following sexually explicit songs were played as evidenced in my reception video footage: Baby Got Back, Hot In Herre and the like. I had to tell Gregory Kovach at one point to turn off the song he was playing. After the wedding, I had to call several guests and apologize for the sexually explicit music that was played at the reception. I called Lisa Goehringer during my honeymoon to complain about what had happened and she said that a vice president would be contacting me to discuss my concerns. No one ever called me. I called her several times and received no response.

Photography: I chose Susan Croes as my photographer as she came highly recommended by Lisa Goehringer. Susan Croes began the wedding day very nicely and accommodated my requests. At the end of the night, I had my sister (Maid of Honor) go to her to request a picture and Susan Croes responded with I'm off the clock. When I went to her to ask for a specific picture that I wanted in my album, she said she was out of film and proceeded to get a disposable camera from one of the tables and take the picture (our hands with our wedding rings). She then told me to get it developed, scanned and sent to the office and they would try to get it in the album. I was going on my honeymoon for two weeks; I didn't have the time to do this!

After the wedding, Lisa Goehringer contacted me to ask me how everything went, I told her of the incident with Susan Croes and she asked, Didn't she offer you another role of film for $75? I responded to her that Susan Croes had not made this offer and had she made it, I would have gladly paid the extra $75. Lisa Goehringer then said that she would take care of it. I heard nothing after this.

Photo Album: After the wedding, I received all of the pictures that were taken at the wedding in 5X7 sheets. I was to select the pictures that I wanted in my album and brag books (small digitally imprinted books for my bridesmaids). I was to complete the paperwork and send it in so that they could then digitally imprint my photo album and brag books. I was told I would receive the albums within 6 weeks. I made a copy of the completed paperwork for my records and mailed the original to the company the first week of September, 2003.

By December 15, I had received nothing so I e-mailed their customer service department requesting information. No one responded to my inquiry.

On December 17, I called the customer service department requesting information on my album. The female representative reviewed my account and stated that she didn't know why I hadn't received my album and that she would connect me to Greg White (VP, Photography & Videography) and asked me to leave him a message. I did so. The same day, I e-mailed Lisa Goehringer about the situation. Lisa Goehringer e-mailed me back and said that Greg White would contact me. Greg White called me back the same day and said that they had not received my paperwork. I asked him why I had not been contacted and told. He apologized, asked me to fax Gina Lane (customer service representative) a copy of my paperwork, then assured me that I would receive my albums within four weeks.

I received my brag books on Thursday, February 5, 2004 but have not yet received my wedding album. I e-mailed Lisa Goehringer on February 2, 2004 and received no response. I e-mailed and left a voice-mail message for Gina Lane on February 3, 2004 and again, received no response. I paid The Pros Entertainment a total of $3,795.19 for their services before July 7, 2003 and as off February 9, 2004, I have not yet received my wedding photo album.

UPDATE: I FINALLY GOT MY WEDDING ALBUM 6 MONTHS AFTER MY WEDDING! RIDICULOUS!!

A Lot Has Changed in 13 Years

AUTHOR: Hugh Riley, Vice President - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 03, 2016

All of us at The Pros are proud of our 38 years in business.  We started as a small DJ company in Philadelphia, expanded to provide photography and videography by the mid 1980's and became a nationwide wedding services company in 2008.  The downside?  We occasionally stumble upon an old review like this one.

Amaris Warren's complaint was initially filed by her sister who claimed our DJ played two songs that they felt were inappropriate...the two songs are mentioned in her complaint.  Amaris later complained that our photographer did not take a shot of their rings.  In both cases, the customer indicated they were otherwise happy with their performance.   Our Director at the time, left no less than 6 messages for Amaris and Andrew and never received a call back.  Our customer service department as well as fellow executives all attenpted to help resolve their concerns.

The photographer she's complaining about had a very long history of happy customers and was awarded photographer of the year back in the late 1990's.  You can imagine how frustrating it is to see her full name used in this review for the past 13 years.  The bride's request for a ring shot came at the very end of the night when the photographer had already shot her last image.  If she had only known that moment would haunt her for the rest of her career, I'm sure she would have found a way to take that shot.  Sue has always been a genuine, thoughtful and caring photographer...what a nightmare!

We are proud of our history and look forward to a bright future.  If you're a couple reading this review, I invite you to confirm our A+ rating with the BBB and our great ratings with weddingwire.com and theknot.com.   We've always taken our customer's concerns very seriously and have learned from our customers and today provide a service that makes all of us proud.

In case you were wondering...First time I've seen this online.  Yes, I'm posting this review 13 years later...and yes, we still have all of our logged notes too.
