I joined this scrapbook kit club at the beginning of the year, because they offerered a special deal off of a past kit that I really wanted. I signed up for a 3 month subscription and the special half-off Nov 2009 kit (the kit that I wanted). They charged me for both the half-off Nov kit and the Jan 2010 kit. I received my Jan kit, and heard no word on the special kit. I sent them an email and got no reply. When they charged me for my Feb kit, I noticed that I had a store credit of the exact amount of the Nov kit. I took that to mean that they had been out of stock and just credited me the money, but I was irritated that they couldn't bother to send me an email and let me know. They charged me for the Mar 2010 kit in Feb 2010 and I sent them an email (on Feb 24) immediately letting them know that I did not intend on getting another kit, and to please cancel my subscription (exactly as their instructions stated). I had found another kit club that I loved so much more then their so-so scrapbook kits. Almost a month later (on Mar 17) they sent me an email saying that I had waited to long to cancel my subscription and that I had signed up for a 6 month subscription (which is cheaper, then the 3 month subscription) so they would have to charge me a early cancellation fee. I sent them an email immediately with the receipts from my kit purchases showing that I was signed up for a 3 month subscription. I told them that I gave them ample time to cancel my subscription, but they chose to wait almost 4 weeks to reply/read my email and that was their bad business decision, but I had fulfilled my obligation to them as a consumer. It has now been 15 days, and the only response I have had from them is an email informing me that they intend to charge my bank account for yet another monthly kit. Not only do they have a slow response time, but I think this company chooses to ignore emails with requests of subscription cancellations in order to get more money from the consumer. As of right now, I have informed the better business bureau (where their score is an F), and am in the process of filing complaints with as many other agencies that I can. I hope if any of ya'll are out there looking for a kit club that you do not get trapped in the same situation that I am now in!
