Yes he's good! I worked for another water company for awhile, and replaced quite a few haque units with our equipment. The people who were leasing from JC Galloway always found it a shock when they contacted JC's wife to have the equipment taken out.
Firstly, they would be informed that they had signed a 5 year contract (without their knowledge) and then informed that they would have to pay up to $500 for breach of contract! and if they didn't pay they would be taken to court - the latter was usually shouted down the phone.
The problem is - if the softeners were working properly then the customers wouldn't be changing companies, so in some cases people have been bullied into keeping and paying for equipment that didn't actually work! and if you complain, they hang up on you, and eventually stop taking your calls!
If you were unfortunate enough to have purchased a hague from these people, then you'll soon start getting calls and nasty letters to say that if they don't service your system once a year (it's not cheap) then the warranty is void - do hague really know or care who their dealers are, and what they get up to!
Stay away from these people!

#1 UPDATE Employee
none of these "reports" are true
AUTHOR: Read your contracts always - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, February 05, 2013
Our company has only been in business about 14 years; and i have worked for it about 7 of those. We are always striving to make our customers happy and are licensed, fully vetted members of the water quality association and the florida water quality association. We have a clean record with the better business bureau , and literally thousands of satisfied customers. We have never changed our name, btw, except last year when "and son" was added.
Out of three poor reviews given to our company on this site one of those was done by a disgruntled ex-employee and is full of lies of every variety. The business practices stated from this person are completely untrue, and his description of them is literally one of the worst pieces of fiction i have ever read. I am glad that we have an ability to share information, but this information is completely false.
One of the reports about the home with the yellow water was sort of true; the customer had issues that we were attempting to resolve when she said the owner of our company was not allowed back on the property. How do we resolve an issue with the equipment if we are not allowed to look at the equipment? That's really makes no sense. Then the customer said to come get the equipment, and yes, as a company we protect ourselves from impulsive and/or unreliable clients with contracts. When i came to get the equipment the husband threatened to shoot me and i had to be escorted back on to the property by the local police (and the wife did apologize to me, but i was still quite shaken by the experience).
I always read the contracts with the customer before they sign them; that is company policy. Also, no company would maintain warranties on machines that have not been serviced properly and regularly. Imagine taking your car to the dealership with engine problems and your oil had never been changed and no tune-ups had occurred! Once again, that makes no sense. And we tell people about the these services and the prices.
Im proud to work for this company and i am proud of the work we do. We can't satisfy everyone, unfortunately, but we are a good, honest company.
