I saw this company on Everyprice.com and they had the lowest price for the Canon S3 IS camera I was going to order. Other shopping sites did not have digitalnerds.com listed or prices as low as these guys. I should have known that if the price looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Well, it wasn't clear if this camera was refurbished or new, so I caled them on Friday, to ask. The man who answered, said it was new and wanted me to order, but I told him I would order on the net as I wasn't ready to order yet. He made a snide comment in an angry tone and said I could order on the net. I did place my order about midnight Sun.

Like the other posters on this board, I received a call from a salesman, early monday afternoon. He tried selling me batteries, memory cards etc. I was in a hurry, so I told him, I had all these items. He didn't argue with me, and said enjoy the camera.

Well, imagine my surprise when I checked my email monday evening and they had sent me an email saying the camera was not in stock, the order was cancelled and do not try to reorder. This outfit is defintely a fraud and should be shut down for fraudulent business practices.

I will probably order from a reputable net outfit such as Beach Camera, where I bought a HDTV, about a month ago, with no problems. The price will be about $40 more than than thedigitalnerds crooks advertised, but I know that I will be getting a new camera with quick shipping. (Even after the salesman said the camera was new, it was suspect to me because the warranty wasn't quite right-90 days labor & 1 year parts-usually it is 1 year parts & labor.)

If I had checked Ripoff report before I ordered, I could have saved myself the aggravation of dealing with these crooks. Maybe I should be happy that the order was cancelled, rather than getting inferior merchandise and having to deal with them further.

The web can be like the wild west, "LET THE BUYER BEWARE" and check Ripoff report before doing business with crooks like thedigitalners.
