Three and One / Baxter and Birdie 
Web/Design Ripoff

I was contacted by Three and One owner Kate Reed via craigslist. She was responding to an ad I had posted offering design/web services and wanted to know if I could help her with a very simple tag and business card design for her dog collar and leash company. We quickly put those designs together and she paid me on time (establishing trust). The next thing Kate inquired about was whether or not I would be able to make a new website for Three & One. I told her yes and we started working on a Squarespace template-based website for her almost immediately. I quoted Kate at $500 for the Three and One site with $250 coming before and $250 coming after services had been delivered. She agreed on the price and we moved forward. 

Midway through the project Kate decided to make several large, previously undiscussed changes to the site (including adding a store and dozens of photos that were incorrectly sized...). At that point I sent a lengthy email to Kate explaining that the bid would have to increase. She expressed no problems with this and paid me the second payment of $250. After that I spent a week or so making all of the requested changes to the site, adding the store, connecting the account and mapping the domain. I sent here a final invoice for $250 and she has not responded to me since. I know that Kate got the email because she switched all of the login information on her website and godaddy to block me from disconnecting the site (Basically the surefire sign that she is attempting to rip me off). 

People deserve to be paid for their work Kate. I hope this catches up with you.
