Ordered a Nikon D90 from Thunder Camera. One day later I was contacted by Thunder Camera. The rep was questioning my credit card info and the address that I was sending it to. Everything was fine. The rep asked if I wanted a lense, battery and charger for the camera body. I told him that the camera was replacing the same camera and it was for my son in the armed forces. It was dropped and damaged and all I needed was the body at this time. He said the he would get the order outright away and they were in stock.

The following day I received an email stating that they were now out of stock and it would take 1 to 2 weeks for delivery. I thought something was funny since it was still advertised so I called back to order anotherunit. They told me that they were in stock. (of course I didn't order anything at that time)

Today I called customer service to question my order. I was told that they didn't understand why I wanted a import camera and that everything was in Japanese. I told him that was OK since I can speak Japanese. He than put me on hold and his supervisor got on and pretty much told me that I was giving his sales person a hard time and that he was going to cancel my order. I told him I didn't want it canceled and he told me that he didn't have to sell me anything. He said that he was going to find out who I was through my phone number and cancel my order and hung up on me.

These people are not nice. I just wanted to buy what they were advertising. As simple as that. I'm still going to wait for my order to arrive in Japanese. This will be a hobby for me to be finally satisfied with this internet purchase.

Still No Camera Delivery

Still no camera since December 25, 2010. I called many time checking on availability of the Nikon D90 body that I ordered and they are still advertising the camera. I called to order one again and I was told that as of right now it was in stock.&; If; in stock why don't they fill my order? I don't really need an answer for that question because I'm sure that this company has no intention on filling this order or any order I put in unless I go for their high priced add ons that I don't need.  I'll keep on waiting and keep on updating my report. Beware Beware Beware!!!!!!!!

Go to the search box on the upper right and type in Thunder Cameras. That will give you an idea of what you'll be dealing with in your new hobby.

There are a bunch of NY camera shops on the 'net that specialize in the bait and switch. The first indication that you're dealing with one is the inevitable phone call after you've ordered something online. It is very unlikely that you'll get what you ordered at the advertised price.
