Before I placed my bid, I contacted the seller if she is going to sell the bag in the pictures. She answered me yes and the bag is in brand new, never been used condition.

I paid for in $648.17 which include the shipping and insurance on 5/22/05. On 5/31/05, I requested the tracking# and got the anwser there is no tracking# (everybody knows insured package should have a tracking#) and she told me it may delay at customs and wait for a few more days.

I contacted her again on 6/2/05 and got answer "Dear Rosalie,I will go down to the post office tomorrow to inquire about the bag. Don't worry, the bag is insured for a $1000 and if the parcel is lost or something, you will be covered. I'll let you know more tomorrow.Kind regards,atprange" She contacted me on 6/3/05 again: Dear Rosalie, I just got back from the post office. They said that they will enquire about the item for me and if you still haven't receive it in the next 5 days, the item could be lost in the post and I can claim the insurance. I'm really sorry for the delay but this is actually quite unexpected. I have one more cherry speedy 25 here with me and I will send it off again if the parcel is really lost. Can I just confirm your address is :XXX. Once again, I do sincerely apologise for all the inconveniences caused. Regards, atprange"

I repied to her same day that "Dear Atprange, Thank you so much for your quick response. Let us wait until next Friday. Hopefully, the mail lady will deliver the package to me before that.The address XXX is correct. Thank you again and have a great weekend. Rosalie" Then, I received her email again "I've already sent you another bag on Monday using express delivery. It's in Miami now. The tracking number is
xxxxx4gb . Please go to www.royalmail.com to key in the number. I'm just going to guess that the first bag went missing in the post and I'll claim for it later."

In 2 hours, I received the package which was sent on 6/3/05 and a fake louis vuitton bag inside. I contacted the seller, never got response.

The seller is swinder, she presented something on the auction, pretended the package was lost and sent me a junk instead. BTW, during the shipping period, the seller tried to sell more stuff, another LV bag, Hermes bag and some used clothing off eBay. I told her I am not interested in any used clothings and personal belongings, and may recommend my friend to bid her auction after I receive the bag. However, I never receive the bag on auction.I do not think it is the only case at eBay, but how can we (buyer) prevent it from happening again?
