Two yrs ago I commenced on a business lease for a roof top for a business that was not mine. I have several lenders lined up. I worked with Financial Pacific in the past and went with them again. A contract was signed only to have it pulled at the last minute to be replaced with another that listed me as personal guareentor. With no other choice I was forced into this contract. Two yrs later, meeting every payment and bringing the balance to the break even point, the company downsized due to the recession and asked to renegotiate the terms so that payments could be made. They ignored all requests unlike their larger counterparts.
The owner and I have asked them to take the unit and sell it and apply those funds to the balance but after two months Chris Burrows has delayed the process. I called him 4 days straight after he accused my former employer of not contacting him and he never returned any of my messages. During this process Time Payment continues to harass me with two calls per day and logging entries against my credit history during this process which is not necessary. They will state that they are obligated to do so but they dont have to considering there is on ongoing process to take the unit.
At this point I have written the principals Richard Latour and Beverly Johnson to intervene all the while their staff act like most unprofessional company.
BTW did I mention that I told them I have been unemployed for over 1 yr with a family and mortgage and they responded that I can put a $8,000 balance on my credit card. They are at the break even point meaning that they received their initial payment and anything they receive at this point is a profit. Therefore if they were offered $2,000 they would have a 10% return on their initial investment. That is better then most banks and yet they do not want to settle.
The experience has been unprofessional to say the least.
