TIS Appraisal, Tracy A. Lenyk Errors in Appraisal and refused to rectify Detroit Michigan

TIS Appraisals was used by Quicken Loans to appraise our home for a refinance, in which we purchased in Oct 2013. We replaced the flooring with hardwood and the remainder of the home is in Marble tile.  The Appraiser documented that our flooring was ceramic, average condition, and the home is in an Urban area.  Our home is in the mountains in a Surburban small town in Northern New Jersey.  Tracy A. Lenyk used comps in the town over vs comps in the mountains of our own town. The comps were for homes with close to 500-1,000 sq footage less than our home, 1 car garages and minimal back yard space.  Our kitchen is highly updated with state of the art stainless steel appliances, double ovens, all granite counter tops, new cabinetry and open range stove - she documented it as "average".  We will no longer use Quicken if they chose to use TIS appraisers.  We reported the errors to Quicken and TIS refused to make the appropriate changes/send a new appraiser.  We will take our business elsewhere.
