I had just been getting threatened and threatened some TitleMax they were so sweet when they were trying to get me to get a loan now that they have got me and I have gotten behind .the truck is at my mother's house not drivable but it does not mine. I do not have the money to tow it up here or else I would and I can prove itperiod instead of just going to get my truck even if I tell them that they do not want it. they want some money or else I go to jail. yesterday Friday would be the last day that they give me. I'm just taking a war anytime

First off, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) rules and regulations, a company CAN NOT threaten to throw you in jail, tell you that they will take you to court IF they DO NOT have the intentions to take such actions, or even harass you for that matter.

If they breake FDCPA rules, ou can then SUE THEM in a court of law, and if you win the case, you are owed by the courts, $1,000 per offense payable to you, they can be hit with punitive damages, plus they can be forced to pay your court costs and legal fees.

Do you still have the threats of jail? Best thing to do as of now, if file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB, at CFPB.gov and get the complaint started there. The CFPB can impose sanctions and penalties against Title Max. NEXT, hire you a d**n good lawyer, take Title Max to court, and just sue the f**k out of them.

You want to know something, years ago we had Green Mountain Energy, it's an electric company that we used at the apartment. my wife lost her job, we moved in with my mom, and have been living with her ever since. Well, since then i've had back surgery and i'm glad we did move in with my mom because i needed someone here to help me abound the house. Long story short Green Mountain sent us to collections, and i noticed a debt collector in my credit report. I hade a complaint against the debt collector because they failed to notify me in 30 days that negitive information was in my credit report.

Soon as they got my complaint againt them, the debt collector retracted the negitive remarks in my credit report, and they disappeared, and there was nothing from them that lowered my credit rating. SO, whenever you complain to CFPB about a company, and then CFPB gets involved, and requests them to respond in 15 days, you can get a company to back off some, if not completely, because that's a fight that they don't want to take on.

The CFPB is a government agency that helps protect consumers from stuff like harassment, FDCPA violations, and so much more. They are a branch of the FTC, better known as the Federal Trade Commission, and they have taken SEVERAL companies to cort because they broke the law, and they have also imposed fines and pentalties as well. SO, take my advise, file the CFPB complaint, and drag their asses into court, and i promise you this, 1. i'll guarante you that you have them by the balls if you saved the threats as proof, and 2. you'll be walking out with way more than what you owe them.

YOU WANT A LAWYER THAT'S IN CONSUMER LAW.

Read the FDCPA, know your rights, file the complaint, sue title maxd, and protect yourself.
