Please do not order anything from HABAND company!! Apparently they give promotional checks for TLG COMPLETE HOME and TLG PRIVACY GUARD and if you cash the check, you are automatically subscribed and you get hit with $139.99 for Complete Home and $149.99 for Privacy Guard.
In this case, TLG is taking advantage of my elderly parents. My dad liked to order things by mail and perhaps due to his mild senile dementia, he never read the fine print. The Complete Home charge of $139.99 was placed on his bank card on the day he died. I did not know there were bank cards in Heaven.
I called them today to file a complaint and I canceled the subscriptions to both things and my mom will supposedly get refunded for Complete Home, and will receive a partial refund for Privacy Guard as that one was charged to their account months ago.
Please everyone, get the word out to your family and friends: never cash an unsolicited check for any amount without reading the fine print. Keep an eye on elderly parents to make sure that they are not being taken advantage of. In this case, TLG is ripping off a low income widow.
