I just wanted to make everyone aware of TOLUNA.com  a worldwide internet surveys based company in which you devote hours of time to get points back for amazon vouchers.

I spent ages accruing nearly 80,000 the threshold for a 15 amazon voucher.  At last check was just under 80,000.

Today got an email saying my account had been deactivated and all points forfeited due to integrity of survey responses, no explanation or proof and I Know I spent ages doing the surveys to accrue the points and so have EARNT them and of course TOLUNA have been paid for my time.

I have two friends whom use the site also and so i called them, BOTH OF WHICH HAVE HAD THE SAME EMAILS!

It seems all of us have accrued a mass of points ALL getting near a redemption stage and now all accounts deactivated, which no real proof why.

I can only assume the company is cost cutting and getting out of paying people WHAT THEY HAVE EARNT by deactivating accounts, especially as I know mine is not the only one deactivated.

I have read on the web and seen they have done this many times before and surely it is not acceptable and that they should not be allowed to get away with this.  AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!  I shall be contacting UK trading standards tomorrow.

Toluna is a company offering survey solutions to hundreds of clients all around the world.  Part of our responsibility is to ensure quality responses on each and every questionnaire that we offer. To ensure this, we undertake systematic quality checks on every member and every survey that they take to guarantee the data we provide to our customers. These checks verify that respondents are answering questions in the most honest, attentive and coherent manner possible.

We can assure you that we do not take these verifications lightly and perform them carefully in order to guarantee the reliability of our panel. In no way do we use quality assurance as a way to get rid of members having accumulated a certain number of points, or those awaiting vouchers.

Whenever our checks flag a member for deactivation, we ensure that any outstanding vouchers are made available to the customer. In addition, if the member has enough points to redeem a voucher, we allow them to select and order one before we close the account.  In the case mentioned here, the member was below the threshold required to redeem a voucher.

We hope this explanation helps to understand the nature of Tolunas actions. We take pride in having over 3 million members worldwide and we strive to offer best in class survey solutions, from both a member and client perspective.
