TopDJGear.com is a complete scam! The owner, March Shmueli has scammed counltess customers over the past year. If you place an order on this website, your card WILL be charged, yet nothing will be shipped out to you. Worse yet, certain orders are accepted by money orders or checks, and you will never see your product, or money again. Also, the company has not paid certain suppliers for over $15,000 worth of inventory, which has been sold. Where does this money go? To buy the owner new gadgets such as iPhones etc...NOT to pay their suppliers. The physical store has since been closed down, and Marc is in hiding, yet, for some strange reason, after all the complaints, the website is STILL up, and the scamming and stealing continues. THEY RIPPED ME OFF LAST YEAR 2

i bought a four head lighting system and two mushroom lights a disco ball and a mini strobe/flood light and a fog machine i had to fight with them and threaten to sue them before they sent my items and i should tell you i ordered a chavet lighting system and what did i get all garbage eliminator lighting so i caller repeatedly for a week with no response so i called from a different number and what do you know they answered gave me the runaround then i got no where and they said they will get back to me and again no response or call back untill i emailed them some fake court documents LOL staiteing that they were being sued and what do you know i got a call back  they gave me a $60 refund and said thats all they could do so i took what i could get seeing that my warranty was no good as i had a recite for a chavet lighting package and had eliminator lighting  that i paid three times the actual cost of the eliminator lighting that was vary poor quality and none of is in working condition and not of my doing and should have been under warranty but the for head system  NO JOKE COUGH ON FIRE  AT MY SECOND SHOW AND I KNOW YOUR GOING TO TELL ME ABOUT THE DUTY CYCLE AND THEY WERE RAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THAT  !!!!!!  no i wont purchase nothing from these people again an SRONGLY advise everyone to stay away take your money to a reputable place like e bay or amazon

i believe i should be fully refunded or receive what i ordered as i said i had no warranty and have had to replace all the lights in 6 months not to mention the four head system went out the second time while being  used at  a live show so i replaced them with 4 american dj evo bursts (great reliable lights) for the next weeks show and everything went fine and on the following week one of the mushroom lights quit spinning so i bought 1 chavet mushroom light to replace it (another great light ) and again the following week ALL AT THE SAME PLACE MIGHT I ADD the fog machine and the second mushroom light went out    WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED NEXT I WAS FIRED AND WASN'T PAID FOR THE SHOW THE OWNER SAID I BROUGHT JUNK TO HIS BAR AND SAID ONE FIRE AND TWO BREAK DOWNS IN ONE MONTH and always having to sweep up small glass mirrors off the floor every night from the disco ball THAT HE HAS SEEN ENOUGH  

POINT IS DONT WAST YOUR MONEY ON THESE GUYS!

Perhaps the reason he was so polite and quick to correct a past mistake, may be because you are the OWNER/OPERATOR of 502FM LLC?????????

Funny that he couldn't get my product out to me, I guess he was too busy helping you, the owner of a company, not just John Q Public!

My name is RaSean Harrison and I am the owner of 502FM, LLC (www.502FM.com). What I'm writing here today should shed light on how the Management of TopDJGear, LLC is very concerned about they're customers and are willing to help out old and new customers in a speedy fashion. I was once skeptical about the company after I DID NOT receive all products of an order which was sent to me over 2 years ago (back in 2007).

I recently contacted TopDJGear.com about an order I placed 2 years ago and received an email from "Josh Johnson" whom reviewed my case. He was very helpful and polite and emailed me back within minutes of each of my emails. He worked hard to see why I was so upset with the company, and I posted negative feedback about them before, but had a change of heart when I was finally treated like a customer, something TopDJGear DID NOT act upon in the past.



Josh investigated my claim, and told me that the management was very sorry for what had taken place and would like to compensate me for my loss that I had with the company for the value of which was not sent to me. I told him what I wanted, and it was sent to me within that 2 weeks of us emailing each other trying to sort my issues I had with the company.

All in all I can say that I am a VERY satisfied customer of TopDJGear LLC and its new management! I did not have all the information about the order I placed over 2 years about, but Josh was willing to help me and make sure that I was satisfied and in a timely manner.

To NEW customers: Give TopDJGear a chance. I would like to thank Josh Johnson for all his help, and TopDJGear for willing to clear their name from  past mistakes.

Customer is Overreacting for No Apparent Reason

This persons comments and name calling are completely unjustifiable, unnecessary and uncalled for. As a result, we feel that we have to explain what happened and defend ourselves. Below are the facts:

Customer placed an order on 12/28/09 for a $249.95 DJ Console on 01/04/2010, we checked inventory and saw one unit in stock, processed he order and prepared a shipping label. Customer received information that the order was to be shipped. (The order was not processed until 01/4/2010 due to the Christmas and New Years holidays).

When item was picked for shipping it was found to be damaged so we waited for more new units to arrive - expected in the following week. When customer called and asked why the order has not arrived we had informed her that the unit she wanted was damaged and we would not send such a unit out. Customer threatened to write bad reviews about us on every site unless we resolve the problem immediately. We offered a similar, upgraded unit from the same manufacturer which was in stock but it was $65 more. She said she did not want to pay more so we offered something different for the same price which our inventory showed one unit in stock. Unfortunately, due to the large number of units that came in and out during the busy holiday season, that number was off and her order was automatically put on hold until more units came into stock.

Customer called in on Friday, 1/22/2010 yelling and asking about her order. We looked it up and saw it was on hold due to a lack of stock of that particular unit. We informed her of the situation and that it we had unfortunately made a mistake on the inventory. She started yelling and asking me to repeatedly apologize to her. She proceeded to say very demeaning things about myself and the company. I told her that we do not deserve to be insulted and receive such treatment from her. She said she will write negative reviews on all the web sites. She demanded we give her a refund while she was on the phone. I immediately complied and gave her a refund on Friday, 1/22/2010. We let her know that refunds take 2-3 days to show up on her account which is the standard time frame since two different banks need to relay that information to each other.

The VERY NEXT DAY, Saturday, 1/23/2010, the customer wrote this review on this and other websites saying that we are a scam. Huh? We gave you a refund on the spot - immediately when you asked for it!? Also you never used paypal - you used Visa. We informed you that it takes 2-3 days for a credit to reflect on your card - yet you go online the very next day after we credit your account to say you have not received your refund yet? Of course not - we told you it takes 2-3 days to show up!!! You know the time frame but just wrote this review, calling us a scam, in order to hurt us so that we lose business. We did not do anything to harm you why would we deserve such an accusation? Why you get satisfaction from being nasty, malicious and mean is beyond us.

We try to be 100% accurate and provide the best customer service possible (as evidenced by the fact that we had not had a single bad review in almost three years!!) but mistakes - even though very rare - sometimes do happen - especially right after the busy holiday season when large volumes of stock go in and out. To say that the order was not processed quickly or correctly is one thing, but to call us scammers is completely malicious, uncalled for and unjustifiable!!

Please check your statement this week and prove us wrong.

This company really is a scam!!!

This company is a SCAM. They really do take your money, and NEVER send your product. Josh , the manager is all talk. He will never send you your purchase. Who is the owner????does he know what a poor manager he has working for him? Buyer beware. This company can not even contact the customer to tell them that the prod is NOT being shipped. If you make the mistake of buying something from them, be prepared for a headache. Try calling the phone #, NO-ONE usually answers it. A voice machine is used to screen the calls.They will tell you the item is in stock, but you will never get it. Then call them, and Josh will say, it wasn't in stock. That's if he ans. the phone. If you leave a message, he will NOT return your call. POOR BUSINESS at it's best. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

I have spoken with Marc Shmueli and management over at TopDJGear and am can honestly say that the situation has really turned around for the company since 2007. I can also say that I have not been compensated in any way for writing this update to my original post. I must admit that I was upset with the company and Marc in particular when I first wrote this report but that I was basically venting due to my frustrations. The company is not a scam but in fact a legitimate, honest business. The problems that the company experienced in 2007 were in fact caused by a problem experienced when they upgraded their order management systems which was then exacerbated by harmful emails sent out by a single disgruntled employee. This had caused serious harm to the company and its reputation. TopDJGear has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to total customer satisfaction. This means that customers can expect the company will always work towards finding a mutually satisfactory resolution to any complaints or concerns. In fact, since this setback in 2007, the company has experienced very little in the way of customer dissatisfaction. New complaints against this company is basically down to 0. As a result, the complaint site that I mentioned in my earlier post, topdjgear.blogspot.com, no longer exists. I have spoken with Management and they have and will continue to make efforts to compensate any customers affected by the events that occurred in 2007. In addition, they are committed to never having a situation like that occur through solid improvements in functionality and security of their systems and technologies. I would recommend TopDJGear to anyone looking for a satisfying shopping experience with excellent customer service, follow-up and support. I can also say without reservation that Marc Shmueli is a decent, hardworking honest individual who would never intentionally cause harm to anyone and in fact, spends a good portion of his time involved in community service and benevolent activities.

Baseless accusations by a former vendor!!

Small companies often grow at such a rapid pace that they may sometimes face significant challenges at some point of their development. A series of unfortunate events caused TDJG to experience a setback in mid 2007 which created a slew of negative posts / blogs in late 2007. We would like to address these issues and explain the series of events that led to the situation and assure our customers that such an event would never happen again.

(a) In 2007 the company rehauled its order processing system. Unfortunately, the new software was improperly installed which caused customer order information to be wiped out from its servers. This made it difficult to determine whether orders were shipped and if there were any incomplete orders and any correspondence with the customer.

(b) This created an increase in chargeback's as customers who did not receive their products disputed the charge with their credit card companies.

(c) This chargeback situation was exacerbated by a disgruntled ex-employee who had accessed his email remotely from his home and told customers that they would not receive their products and/or refunds that were due to them and also hacked into our phone system changing our greeting to say that we were a not a legitimate company. To make matters worse, he changed the administrative password so that the company could not change this message for almost a week until a tech could repair this. This worried many of the company's customers who then called their credit card companies to dispute the charges.

(d) This sudden increase in chargeback's coupled with a spike in sales volume due to its rapid sales growth caused the merchant processor that handled our credit card transactions to become worried and, without notice, close our account while holding on to many weeks of customer charges that was due to us. Those funds were needed to cover operating costs and employee salaries and to pay vendors for merchandise.

(e) With the merchant account closed, TDJG had no way of issuing customer refunds back to their credit cards.

(f) Not only did the credit card company close the account and hold funds but they also placed the Company on a "black list", preventing TDJG from open a credit card processing account with any other bank, thereby denying the comapny the ability to make any more sales and income going forward and forcing us to cut our customer support staff and other essential functions.

(g) These events caused the chargeback's and the resulting negative reviews you see on various websites and blogs written in the period of 2007.

As a result, the company was placed in a very difficult operating and financial position during this period. Unlike the comments made on many of these blogs, the company's owner never stole, lied or pocketed any money from this business and by no means did he live a lavish lifestyle. He exited the business at a financial loss.

The above complaint was written by a former vendor of the company affected at the time. He was a distributor for a certain mixer brand and used this board a means to coerce payment from the company and Marc and lash out at Marc as well.

As our recent reviews can attest, our customers have been very pleased with our services since then. We incorporate the most advanced customer management software and back up our servers on a nightly basis on a remotely hosted server to ensure that the problems experienced in 2007 never occur again. We have always been an online shop. The "physical store" he was referring to was a venture with a record store that ended given the fact that traditional record stores were no longer a viable business model given the huge popularity and feasibility of MP3s and digital dj software.
