I'm an ex-student of the so called "Toronto Film School" which was previously located in the CBC building in downtown Toronto. This school fed and continues to feed lies to students and future students alike.
Tuition is ridiculously expensive and the education is astounding. Upon "graduating" I did not receive a diploma and the school has now closed down and is no longer under the IADT affiliation. I paid over 30K in tuition and want my money back. This large sum could have been spent on producing a low-budget feature film. Please give me and all other students of this school back their money.
For people who are interested in becoming filmakers, directors etc .... Watch a ton of movies, and research and learn on your own. Buy a camera and shoot something. Learn editing, put things together. Take my advise, going to film school is not worth it. Go to University and get a meaningful degree.
