TOYS R US - Amazon ripoff RACIAL PRICE INCREASE Internet

Hi, Call 1-800-toysrus, I seriously bet this was a pricing mistake. Also, the ethnic doll may have been a newer model than the caucasian doll. Sometimes they look EXACTLY the same but are priced differently in order to sell the older stuff first.

The "Baby Annabell Function Doll" both white and ethnic is $29.99.

The "Baby Annabell Doll" (NOT the "Function" doll) is $39.99. I only saw the ethnic doll listed.

What the difference is, and who really cares, is beyond me.

I don't work for this company so I can't vouch for the price difference with total accuracy but I think common sense dictates that the white doll sells better and can therefore be purchased in a higher volume. Higher volume means a savings discount that can be passed on the customer. The black doll probably doesn't sell nearly as much, so the company would order less from the manufacturer and the smaller order probably means they have to pay the manufacturer a higher price. Personally, I think the price should be the same for both dolls, even if it means amazon has to take a price hit. I can see how someone would be annoyed. But again, I don't work for amazon and the above is merely my opinion.

Maybe like you, no one wants to buy the caucasian doll. So now we have 5 million of them and less of the ethnic doll as you put it.. it is simple supply and demand.. less demand price down.. too much supply .. more off.. no one wants 5 million dolls hanging around.... maybe if people stop buying the ethinc dolls the price will go down also.. just my two cents
