After reading all these rebuttals, I am completely amazed by what I am hearing from these people who are in Trek Alliance. ...I don't even know where to begin.

The people who are posting rebuttals in here in support of Trek Alliance have to be the most close-minded poeple I have ever come across. -How do I know? Because, I was one of the them. -I was with Trek Alliance for an entire year. I devoted my life, my money, my trust, and my passion to this company, only to find out that practically everything was a lie. ...The people in here in support of Trek who use those pathetic, worn-out, un-original "success lines" make me queezie in the stomach. Those of you who sit there and say, "Trek didn't fail you, you just quit on Trek", have no idea what you are saying. You ALWAYS seem to think that people quit Trek because they gave up. These people quit Trek Alliance because of all the lies, deception, and minipulation. NOT because they gave up. Would you please look at both sides of the picture?

No, I didn't make very much money, AT ALL, but that is not why I quit. -I was dead broke, not making any money by the 4th month, but I pushed on, for the rest of the year. ...I quit because I found out Heather Hromoho was the most dishonest person I had ever met. I trusted with everything for a full year, and when I finally realized and saw what she had been doing, I almost got sick. I couldn't believe someone whom I trusted with so much could do such horrible things. ...Trust me, I caught her in a red-handed lie, telling me straight to my face. Trust me, I HAVE IT ON TAPE, and I've listened to it plenty. ....If don't believe me, ask her about what she did to Bill Draper and Juanita Fallis. -Of course, that would be pretty dumb of me to have you ask HER, because she just lie about it, that's what she is used to.

For the new girl (wmonda@peoplesupport.com) who just joined Trek, YES, listen to the Editor. Get back to us in 9 - 12 months, and let us know how you are doing. See if you aren't dead broke yet. ...Your comment about only making a $50 investment, and growing it into millions a few later, was completely and totally ludicrous. Honey, you are still new, and I feel bad for you. You have no idea what you are saying. Have you even looked at anything YOURSELF? You've done nothing but listen and trust everything that they've thrown at you. That will lead you down a very dangerous path. -I said those same exact things when I was new.

->Do yourself a favor, NAME ONE PERSON WHO INVESTED JUST $50 AND MADE MILLIONS A FEW YEARS LATER. You will NOT find anybody! -Look at Trek's pay structure closely, YOURSELF, don't let them tell you what it is about. You will see that getting just a Starter Kit will not end making you millions. It is impossible.

Pro-MLMer's need to also realize that the people who are Anti-MLM mostly aren't about the concept. They are complaining about the WAY the business is done. The people in it use deception like it's second-nature. Please understand this. Why is it that when you place an ad for Trek, you put things such as, MANAGEMENT, SPORTS NUT, ATHLETIC MARKETING, and never mention anything about what it really is? ...These are lies. There are no management positions, Trek isn't in the sports industry, and there is no athletic marketing. It total manipulation.

Anyway, I've written quite a bit, so I will end here. But, I will be checking on this site quite often from now on. So, you want to have an open-minded "conversation", I am more than willing to help you see the truth in Trek Alliance. ...There is SSSOOOO much more I could post, but I don't have time to write a novel.

Thanks for your attention. And to the editor, I love your site. It's awesome, and very informative.

Take care,
Tom

Yes, years later, but that wasn't me.

...I know it's years later, but I just now read this rebuttal, and I, Tom (Denver, CO) did not write that.

The only reason I ever got on this site was to help bring Trek Alliance DOWN, which, in the end, was successful.

Someone decided to use my name, and flip around the facts. ...I never wrote that.

If I wasn't a moron

AUTHOR: andrew - ()

POSTED: Thursday, August 08, 2002

I have a plan, a dream, to see the termination of cult like companies that take advantage of hard working people, and to continue living off my monthly check and government cheese until my goal is fufilled.

I took the time to reply to Erins and Toms comments to point out how ludicrous they are.

Toms statements come directly from the mlm form letter used by trek, amyway and primerica supporters across north america with the exception tupperlake new york where the towns only copy was lost in a tragic tricycle accident.

My sarcastic comments were based on what was written, but the mlm form letter requires no thought, simply state the author is a pessimistic corporate employee in a dead end job who wishes nothing more than to bring others down. Yes, that has to be it!

P.S. Funny thing about a bear market, some of us make money when share prices drop.

What Are You doing With Your Time?

AUTHOR: Tom - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, August 07, 2002

If you put as much time into writing a rebutal to Erin's comments, as you did ino you career maybe you would be financially independent. Maybe you wouldn't be bitching about how other people make money. Maybe you might just focus on your own d**n life, and quit being the "person of eternal pesimism". Maybe you might find out a way to help other people be succesful, instead of finding a way to bring them down.

Unfortunatley I don't have time to continue opening your eyes to what a moron you are. Instead, I have a plan, I have a dream, and Trek is helping me to achieve it. Regardless of what dead end corporate job you have, I don't have to worry about being laid off, or being so negative that succesful people don't want to hang around with me.

Good Bye

And Oh P.S.
MKaybe the stock market is a better investment than Trek

ARGH!! What are they teaching!

AUTHOR: Andrew - ()

POSTED: Friday, June 21, 2002

Help me understand,

,Erin: but as a Communications Major at a very accredited private college

A:What makes a college very accredited??

Erin:I am an extremely critical person, so after being shown the opportunities within Trek Alliance I decided to find the nastiest dirt on them as possible. So of course, I visited this site...

A:Did you search elsewhere for information on the company? Being extremely critical I suppose you gathered information from sources other than the internet and the sales pitch given by the Trekkies?

ERIN:Don't waste time talking about Trek if you don't understand it, it will only make the ones that do seem less intelligent.

A:Hmmm.. I can discuss a subject I dont understand and cause someone who really does understand that same subject to seem less intelligent. Cool concept!

ERIN: I just love it when people tell me about Paris when they've never stepped foot out of their hometown.

A:Does this happen often? Maybe a lot of people read books about Paris.

ERIN :Likewise people who aren't millionaires... how can you be the one to judge if your bank account doesn't reflect "your incredible knowledge" of MLM companies

A:Im too stupid to understand this statement. Got me on this one Erin! Can any millionaire judge, no wait, is this only millionaires from Trek? Ok, MLM millionaires! So the Amway and Primerica people can judge.

.ERIN: If you are against Trek, why not come up with some great suggestion to help all of us "senseless wanderers looking for a quick fix

A:Great, another burden. Try organized religion?

Erin: I guess what I'm trying to get across is that not every single person gets caught up in the "glitz and glam" of the Trek opportunity

A:I dont know why, it sounds like a very glamorous lifestyle.

ERIN:In Trek, I am able to learn from professionals. In college, I would have to wait a couple years to get an internship with someone making millions of dollars.

A:Who would you be interning for? I tried to summer with THE DONALD but he didnt answer my letters. I had to settle for a guy making a buck fifty a year.

ERIN: If you have actually read through this entire editorial, wow, you're above average. Most people's attention span's last 2 paragraphs max. (Remember, I'm Journalism major).

A:No I dont remember. You stated above that you were a communications major.

ERIN: In conclusion, Im not bashing anyone against Trek, or network marketing in general. I'm sure quite of few have been burned, and I'm sorry for that. Give us new people productive ideas so that it won't happen to us... AND for those of you out there that are looking for an alternative to something in their life, give network marketing a try. The least you can do is learn a life lesson. (Wow... now thats scary stuff).

A:Ways to learn a life lesson (in no particular order) smoke opium, insult someone larger than yourself, go backpacking in Afghanistan, join the peace corps, scare the secret service, run an escort service, spend your paycheck on lottery tickets, oh, forget it, where do I sign up?

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Unlike most college educated people, I have job experience...

AUTHOR: Lea - ()

POSTED: Thursday, June 20, 2002

This program is ok for colege kids who are either supported completley by parents or on a scolarship Those people from your statement obviously have nothing better to do then drink and party. Heaven forbid they find a job and support themselfes, rather then mooching off mommy and daddy! But for someone trying to support themselves paying rent, bills, etc. trying to do this is near impossible.

Trek reps try to lure you in with big $$$ stories. And thats what they mostly are Bull-S***.!

Don't get me wrong I tryed the college scene, so yes I have been their. But it started to wrap my common sense and like most college kids, I started getting that "I am Holy-er than thou" attitude. I was looseing my "non-college' friends because of what it was doing to me. I got outta their and found myself a good job and got quiet a bit of experience and without a degree.

Now I am 21 years old and is makeing 1.5 times what it takes a typical college grat (depending on career choice) to earn in his first year after gratuading-because of lak of experience. For those of you interested I am currently making roughly $38k working in mortgage industry.

Yes I did need to take a few courses to get to where I am (company paid for them), but what really got me here was experiense.

I asked most small business owners at my last job where I was in conact with them on a daily basis. They said depending on the feild if you have ANY experience, with little post-seccondary education you are more likly then that person applying for the job who has a collage degree, know experience but sitting in a chair, in a classroom or auditoriam taking notes reading, studying. This is of course the acception to jobs such as doctors, nurses, lawyers, and other fields that actually do require a college educations.

Those who try to do Trek, and are lured in, and are lured when the rep says "Oh, you can make money throwing product parties". "party" is the key word for a college kids.

I tried that about 5 times The parties are similar to Pampered Chef or Avon, or Mary Kay since know one had ever heard of Trek all five times, the only people that showed up were my mom and friends who probaly felt sorry for me.

What really prompted me to quite was after I was suckerd into taking a personal loan out for $2000 to buy products to get me at the 'higher level' the rep I was working with Brian Smith, and his wife Christine bailed on me. I do not hesitate to use there names.

I now have a $2000 debt, all the products, and no income. This had come at a time when I was laid off my previous job, and Trek sounded easy, they make it look that way, but college kids and other people who are suckered into it don't realize that they are feeding them a line of CRAP, but they are so desperate for money, or are so used to being supported by mommy and daddy, that a REAL job right now would just be too much work, but Hell I had a full time job in high school.

And people wonder why I was able to buy my own brand new car without a co-signer at 18, and my first actual house not rented, but bught, at 20. It's because I worked for it. My parents are middle income. They have NO college education at all. They have never had to loan me money. I have actually loan them money.

I know it sounds like I am braging but I am just talking of my experiences Trek was one of them, but it was a lerning experience and I have learned NEVER to fall in to something that sounds to good too be true.

Trek is one of those. And given by the number of people who have posted here they has learned from the school of hard knocks.

Brainwashing at meetings...and creating truth on the net.

AUTHOR: Erin - ()

POSTED: Sunday, February 17, 2002

I am an extremely critical person, so after being shown the opportunities within Trek Alliance I decided to find the nastiest dirt on them as possible. So of course, I visited this site...

If I was like many other people, I would take whatever is on the net, in print, or the gossip of the neighbor next door as the honest to god truth, but as a Communications Major at a very accredited private college I have been taught to look at things critically. (Still haven't mastered compound sentences, so you can't call me on that one!)

I have looked at various websites...Trek's homepage, many of Ripoffreport's links and so on and I have come to these conclusions---

1. Don't waste time talking about Trek if you don't understand it, it will only make the ones that do seem less intelligent. Whether you are for it or against it, if you don't understand the principles of network marketing, shut up.

2. Don't bash the products if you've never tried them. I just love it when people tell me about Paris when they've never stepped foot out of their hometown.

Likewise people who aren't millionaires... how can you be the one to judge if your bank account doesn't reflect "your incredible knowledge" of MLM companies. Don't mock the business meetings unless you've attended one. 90% of the people in the Goal-Setting meeting I attended said that being able to provide for their family (parents, sister's, brothers, sons daughters) was their most important goal. Those awful "GREEDY GREEDY PEOPLE!" How dare them think of their families? How dare them want to be in a company that sold products good for the environment and people's health?

3. If you are against Trek, why not come up with some great suggestion to help all of us "senseless wanderers looking for a quick fix".

I guess what I'm trying to get across is that not every single person gets caught up in the "glitz and glam" of the Trek opportunity.

I know I enjoyed the energy and personalities of the individuals I saw involved with Trek, not their bank accounts (which very few of them indulged). It beat the "future work force" I have been surrounded by at college for the past year and a half. The "yes maam's and no sir's"...

I will own my own business, whether I start in Trek or create my own.

That "awful brainwashing" I've received at Trek meetings such as "believing in yourself, and accomplishing your dreams, whatever they may be," beat the normal frat parties and beer bongs that "all college kids" do. I would rather spend my extra time around career-oriented people that are focused on some type of productive goal.

So what if I only make $300.00 a month with Trek in college. Have you seen the bank accounts of college students? If you have $300.00 you're filthy stinking rich. I know that I can do Trek around my class schedule, which very few jobs offer. Whether or not the people on the top are getting rich, I know that I'm making money on the side.

In Trek, I am able to learn from professionals. In college, I would have to wait a couple years to get an internship with someone making millions of dollars. Oh darn if I don't make money right now. I would have blown the $50.00 start up kit fee (which is completely refundable) on something far less important than investing in myself.

If you have actually read through this entire editorial, wow, you're above average. Most people's attention span's last 2 paragraphs max. (Remember, I'm Journalism major).

In conclusion, Im not bashing anyone against Trek, or network marketing in general.

Thanks for the WARNING!

AUTHOR: Jane - ()

POSTED: Monday, February 11, 2002

I was recently contacted by friends in the area who are starting up a Trek Alliance office here in Cedar City, and wanted me to join. The thought of making so much money a month, for only a $47 starter kit was intriguing, yet suspicious.

We were invited to attend an EP in Vegas and noticed a lot of fake personalities, spunk, excitement, honesty, and trust. We were almost pressured into joining, but decided to research a little prior to our joining with Trek. Well...I can tell you that every comment i've found about Trek Alliance is insync with what I saw first hand at the meetings and recruiting seminars. I'm just glad that I found out now what a scam it was, so I'm not bound into it for life...losing my savings or even going into debt by taking out the required loan to buy product. Anyways, if there actually is a success story, i'd love to hear it, but for now, all i've heard is fabricated stories and lies. Thank you for the warning..i'm greatly indebted.

To Jeremy (the employee of Trek Alliance),

First off, how long have you been with Trek Alliance? ...Let me know, and I will be more than happy to talk with you then. You sound pretty new by what you say, but I wouldn't know, because I know you guys all use the same lines, even after being in for years.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I would really like to have a good conversation with you. ...It's just that I've seen a lot of dirty stuff that I think you would be interested in.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Tom
