Tri-Steel Homes, Denton, Texas Fradulent Business Practises by President Jon Reynolds and Mary Jones Denton Texas

On Jan 23,2002 we paid Tri-Steel Homes of Denton, Texas a down payment of $500 to start plans for our custom home order number D058. On Feb 14, 2002 we paid them $2460 for completion of our custom house plans.

On Apr 5, 2004 we paid a $13,401.38 deposit to build and ship all materials to our job site in Colorado with the balance to be paid COD. After repeated calls we were told they had a cash flow problem and agreed to send them our final payment of $34,968.52 to assure immediate shipment. After many phone calls to President Jon Reynolds and letters from our attorney in Denton, Texas we still received no product.

On Jan 25,2007 we had our attorney send them a letter cancelling our order and demanding a full refund of $48,369.90. As of Nov 10, 2007 we have not received that refund. In October we filed a complaint with the DFW Better Business Bureau, and they received no contact from Tri-Steel. The DA of Denton refused to prosecute them for fraud.

We would like to caution any other prospective customers of Tri-Steel Homes to NOT ever send them final payments in advance. We are retired and on a fixed income and this loss has caused an indefinate delay in the building of our home. We are living in our shop/garage.
