I was laid off December 2008, I was checking the Internet for work at home jobs.  I came across a pitch page that sounded so simple, I filled in my information because it sounded great.  The name Triad Media was not mentioned any where on the pitch page.

I had a phone call from their Client Relations high pressure sells team two promotional staff members.  I was told that the Internet marketing program that Triad Media had was the best and easy to follow.

I was assured that I could make back my investment of ($5,888.00) in six months.  They told me the price was high but it was tested and would bring in a very good income.

I told them I had no expertise in Internet marketing and that I had a limited knowledge of computers, they assured me that it wouldn't be any problem at all.  I completed my coaching training but the coaches didn't answer many questions I had about how to advertise my website.  The coaches didn't agree with each other on how to promote my website.

I tried to the best of my knowledge joined many social networks, forums, and related sites to promote my website.  I set up my Adsense and Amazon accounts as instructed by my coaches, I placed ads for my web site everywhere I could.  I tried all the major searches Google, yahoo etc. and business cards to pass out with no purchase results.

The training program is through Vianet Training, with videos and webinars, I noticed when I watched the videos and did webinars the people that were doing the training were not on the same page, the information was confusing and contradictory.  I soon got an information overload.

I just didn't have the skills it took to get this web marketing to work, and I couldn't get clear answers as how to get people to my site to purchase the products.  It must take an expert which I am not, I was told by the promotion i didn't need to be an expert, but It was far too technical and far beyond my limited Internet skills.

I did a press release on their preselected website, and noticed that the site the press release was on, had so many complaints it had a bad reputation notice on it.  No one in there right mind would even read my press release.

I was then told I needed to pay for a good press release, I argued with them, after paying over &5,000.00 dollars they wanted me to pay to get a better press release.

This company can not deliver what they promote.  I no longer trust any online home businesses.  I lost my hard earned money, the promotion was very effective but short on promise, I bought into the dream because I wanted to believe.  They got my money so their happy and I'm not.

Yes I was gullible, vulnerable, taken advantage of, laid off and unemployed, I just wanted to believe in the dream of success, and being self-sufficient, witch turned out to be a nightmare.

Most of the work at home offers are nothing but scams - you have to go into the search KNOWING and expecting to get offers for SCAMS.

The federal trade commission website has information on WORK AT HOME SCHEMES - what questions to ask and how to avoid being ripped off.

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/invest/workhome.shtm

Envelope stuffing, Arts and Crafts and Assembly are 3 of the oldest scams out there.

Medical Billing is another scam - you pay for training only to find out that no DR's office will hire a home worker without any previous experience in an office.
