Trios College Ripped off, false pretences, blatant disrespect, scare tactics and not following procedure. London Ontario

Let me start off by saying I did not choose Trios. They bought my school out and I was forced to continue there. First off, Trios lied to OSAP by not giving a proper tuition estimate (mine was 9400 but other students had different numbers for the same course) when the tuition was a set 11054. I ended up using my living expenses to pay for books (1500) and fought tooth and nail to have them give us back almost 700 because I proved that they were grossly over charging us.

Our books were extremely late, as well as our scrubs. They f*cked up the timeline of the course instead of listening to my instructors and caused us to learn things without understanding them. They kept changing the end date of first year until they ended on us finishing first year in the middle of August leaving us with only 2 weeks of break before going into second year. They do not follow policy/procedure yet penalize you (as the student) for not doing so.

They like to ignore messages and will avoid you until you corner them face to face and even then will not give you a satisfactory answer. Let me go into detail... Policy: I missed time that according to policy should have been totally excused as it was a valid reason. The director of trios London is named Dianne, and is rightly called the "Ms. that sounds like a you problem” she told me to my face that no my absence was not excused (despite having policy deem it was) which resulted in being terminated from the school due to failing a course that I missed much of and did not have the notes.

Also, before retaking the exam she made me and another student sign a piece of paper saying if we failed she will kick us out. Again, not following policy here but if you’re reading this I’m sure you know all about the handy procedure in your school handbook so I’ll skip that bit. Next, half of the other time that was not accounted for was due to me not being able to get to school because again, I spent ALL of my living expense on the books. (This resulted in me being homeless and missing sometime which is pardoned according to policy but okay Dianne..)

She promised me a bus pass to help and never came through. Thanks for the help, not. Basically, I’m looking for someone that can sit down and listen to the entire story and possibly offer advice to take the school on and get me out of a 12,000 debt that I never would have had to pay if I had not been kicked out. There is so much more to this story but this has been long enough without me going into full detail.
