I just came back from cancun and i was victim of kidnapping express and extortion by the cancun police 2 times in less than 5 minutes ,the second time we got really scared because it was not too different from kidnaping express... the only difference is that the criminals where the 6 police officers! it was really scarry; we try to report it after and no one want it to help us in cancun. they want to keep this secret in mexico, but the worse part is that we said... well when we come back to USA we will let the people know, so i post it on tripadvisor.com on the cancun forum and tripadvisor.com and i was surprised to learn that they removed my comment. I posted again and they keep removing it. i was very responsible on my words very clean (just warning people that are going to cancun that the cancun police is doing this to tourist and they keep removing me from the forum next thing you know they cancel my account... i opened several other accounts and the cancel me again. The other users where in shock asking why do they remove me and the only thing i can think of is that they make allot of money from the resorts from cancun advertising on their website so they don't want bad thing about cancun to be post on their website. They claim in their website that they provide the truth about places by the users... tripadvisor.com "GET THE TRUTH AND THEN GO"

WARNING: WHENE YOU RENT A CAR IN CANCUN THE POLICE WILL GO AFTER YOU FOR NO REASON... THEY CAN JUST SAY "YOU ARE SPEEDING" EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT! THEY KNOW THAT BY BEEN A TOURIST IN A RENTAL CAR, IT WILL BE EASIER FOR THEM TO DO THIS WITH NOT PROBLEM AT ALL AND ALSO THE CAN TAKE YOU AWAY LIKE THEY DID TO US AND THEN THEY WILL ASK YOU FOR CASH OR THEY WILL PUT YOU IN JAIL... IF YOU SAID THAT YOU HAVE DON'T HAVE ENOGH CASH THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT THEY WILL TAKE YOU TO AN ATM.

First, sorry for the trama that you went through and good for you to report important info to the people.
True about tripadvisor eliminating info such as what you posted. They're like yelp.com*who are total jerks*
They say they help tourist and people to inform them about places to go..and not to go.
Owners and companies usually get all defensive when they get caught with cr@p in their hands an complain how it wasnt their fault. It makes them look bad and they dont like it. So they complain to sites like yelp and tripadvisor to remove concerning comments b/c it cause them to lose money. Or, in my case, loyal patrons get a hair up their fat@$$3$
Consumer and public safety is no concern for them just money.
My experience with those sites are the same.
I looked on yelp.com/tripadvisor, for some places to visit and find some great reviewed location. With yelp it was doctors, vets, auto shops etc, what a joke site.
Now, this really happened to me. In a town in*F* texas, I was refused service at a local diner and was told to leave BY THE MANAGER!!! When I asked why, they said they dont serve people as 'darker then a brown paper bag.'
Then said 'you hear me mexican, get on your donkey and leave." And all the patrons*who were white* clapped as I left*all were white*
I was shocked and wrote about it on the site and a few minutes later, it was removed. *by J B a C**T who said 'suck it up and deal with it.' fat cow that she is.*
It was given 5 stars and had great food but I wasnt aware about it being racist. I noted most of the sites do only have positive reviews and some dont but still, if its to warn people then it should be left there.
It was hearsay? No, not even yours.
It wasnt a threat it was a BAD experience and it made you feel like the bad guy and thats wrong. I pray no one goes through what you did.
So far, Im banned from yelp.com*ooh bigdeal D***S*and waiting for the cancelation by tripadvisors. Whatever.
But now this site will forever let the world know what jerks they are. But with my negative reviews, most loyal patrons were angery with me for warning others and had ME banned fromt the site. They can kiss my @$$.
Im by your side b/c this site will forever note how such sites are RIPOFFS!!!
