Matthew Riddle, Triple D Tree Experts or Triple D Tree Services, Scam

Sad to say, but I was recently (March 2011) scammed by Matthew Riddle, Kansas City, MO (Peculiar Missouri).  I am very concerned that others have been or might be scammed by Mr. Riddle as well, thus my purpose for generating this scam report. Matthew A Riddle is targeting various subdivisions located in Kansas City.  Most recently he targeted esidents residing in the Waldo, Ward Parkway and other surrounding Subdivisions.

Mr. Matthew A. Riddle portrays himself as a tree removal and lawn expert.  He states he is the  owner of , Triple D Tree Experts, located in Peculiar, Missouri (south of Kansas City, Missouri).  He alleges he is licensed, bonded and insured, but he is NOT.   Mr. Riddle gains your sympathy and trust and is exceptional persuader and targets Kansas City neighborhoods where he perceives homeowners have money. 

Mr. Riddle contracts to perform lawn services or tree removal at a reduced price, and then, he asks for 50% of the contract up front.   Mr. Riddle will put the agreement in writing, and he provides  homeowners with outdated and fraudulent insurance information to give prospects the illusion that he is licensed, bonded and insured.  

Mr. Riddle will take your up-front money and then never return to perform the work.   Mr. Riddle NEVER performs any work, nor will he return the down agreement money.   If you are approached  by Mr. Riddle to perform tree removal, landscape work, yard work, or any other work, be advised that he steals money and does not intend to perform the work.  He has done this to  many others over the years.

He claims his address is: 10611 E MAPLE ST, PECULIAR, MO 64078, but I do know that he no longer owns this home, nor does he live at this address.

Mr. Riddle is approximately 58, 165 lbs. Caucasian, male, approximate age 29-30.   He has dark hair, blue eyes and a very thin, well groomed, shadow beard.   His date of birth is 11/25/1981.   He  claims to live in Peculiar, Missouri, but his physical address is unknown, even to his immediate  family.  Mr. Riddle also likes to discuss his health and use it to gain sympathy and bond with  perspective customers.  Allegedly, about a year ago, he was seriously beaten, outside of a bar,  when trying to defend a woman who was a victim of attempted rape.   He states he was unable to work for many months, and therefore he is in desperate need to work to catch up on his bills.

If you have also been scammed by Mr. Riddle, please reply to this complaint.  I have additional information that might help you if you decide to file action against him.    I also need this information to submit to the local county authorities for other outstanding legal filings against Mr. Riddle.

I can provide copies of our contract and other false documents he provided when he misrepresented his services.
