This expedite trucking company literally stole $3,000 from me.

When you sign on as an owner/operator driver, you are required by the company to allow them to deduct weekly payments of $50 up to a total of $1,000 for a security escrow deposit to be held by them until you or they terminate the lease contract.

They are required by Federal Leasing-In-Truth Laws to return your security escrow deposit within/ no later than 45 days. I had 3 trucks leased on with them. 3 x $1,000 = $3,000 plus all accrued interest.

When the time came to payup, they instead sent their lawyer after me to back off. Druming up false charges and threatening to prosecute, full well knowing that for me to defend myself, it would cost me more than the $3,000 that they owed me. If they did it to me, they will do it to you too !

His suit over the $3000 would have been dismissed immediately at the defendant's request because he didn't appear as the plaintiff.

Any company that wants you to use your credit to buy their truck in some sort of "special deal" (as opposed to buying your own truck on the free market and then leasing it and your driving service to a company) is highly suspect. Especially if you're new to trucking, drive a company truck. Don't personally guarantee financing on something that you can't own.

Sue that doesnt make sense..

If Try Hours did have a suit against "Thomas" and he did not show up, there should have been a default judgment not a dismissal.

And why would the company even give him access to the "entire" customer list?

Please respond.

Have you ever heard anything about Express-1 in Michigan? They have $0 down on their box trucks, and if things aren't working out and you want to leave, Express-1 told me they don't hold you up for the remaining lease - all they require is a 30-day notice. I am considering doing this, but don't want to get burned. So have you or anybody else heard anything bad about the company?

Rebuttal to Try Hours Violating Leasing Laws

AUTHOR: Sue - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 17, 2006

"Thomas" was an independent contractor for Try Hours. Upon termination of his agreement with the Company he deliberately downloaded all of the names and addresses of Try Hours' customers for the purpose of making them available to a new employer. When Try Hours demanded the return of its confidential property "Thomas" refused. When "Thomas" sued Try Hours for his unpaid moneys(totalling $3,000.00), Try Hours countersued "Thomas" for unlawful conversion of its intellectual property. The court set the matter for trial and because "Thomas" failed to appear for the trial the court dismissed the case. "Thomas" owes Try Hours an amount of money well in excess of his claim for the unlawful conversion of Try Hours' intellectual property and Try Hours owes "Thomas" nothing. Efforts of Try Hours to locate "Thomas" to collect this claim have so far been unsuccessful. The statements which are published on this website are not only false, but are malicious injurious to Try Hours.
